These sections will contain spoilers for Tasha's role in The Wild Beyond The Witchlight and Vecna: Eve of Ruin!
What Are Tasha's Names?
Tasha can get a bit confusing to follow. This is mostly because, since she was introduced in the Greyhawk setting, she's gone through at least nine different titles, nicknames, and aliases.
These names are: Natasha, Natasha the Dark, Tasha, The Witch Queen, The Witch of Perrenland, Dream Witch, Hura of Ket, Iggwilv, and Zybilna, with the alias Zybilna featuring heavily in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Wild Beyond The Witchlight module.
Her original and true name is Natasha, with Tasha being a diminutive. It's under "Tasha" that she would pen most of her work, but many in-universe know her better as "Iggwilv."
In D&D lore, the true name of a creature often gives the speaker power over them in some way. ♏These names are usually secret, binding the name to the being. Being both witch and fey, Tasha likely prefers herꩲ diminutive for this reason.
What Are Tasha's Origins?
Named Natasha by the infamous Baba Yaga, Tasha was raised on Oerth as the only human among three other hag-sisters. While the reason for this adoption was never made clear, it could be inferred that her magic🌳al talent was obvious to the hag, even a𒐪s a child.

Learn🍌 interesting facts about Lolth, including her origin and transformation, which let her become the Demon Lord of Dungeons & Dragons.
This frequently put Tasha at odds with her sisters, particularly as Baba Yaga began to favor her, taking her as an apprentice.
Such was her magical prowess that she would develop the spell Tasha's Hideous Laughter at an early age.
Her sisters were n🔴amed Bavlorna, Endelyn, and Skabatha. All were powerful hags in their own right.
Upon growing older, Tasha would become known as a powerful wizard before taking on the name "The Witch Queen" and💮 later, as she began𒀰 to study demons and their ilk, "Iggwilv."
Though she would reside in the second layer of Nilfheim for a time, the home of various deities such as Shar and Mask, Tasha would move to the Abyss to better study the demonic.
Seeking power and knowledge, she would dabble in infernal magic until she had mastered it, and would become comparable to the demon lords.
Tasha would write the Demonomicon of Iggwilv, one of the most complete treatises on the denizens of the Hells.
Tasha And Graz'zt
While studying the demons of the Abyss, Tasha (then Iggwilv) would summon and subsequently trap Graz'zt, the demon prin꧂ce of pleasure, indulgence, and tyrant🦩s.
Having conquered the Oerthian Perrenland by utilizing an army of undead, Tasha would go about ruling it with Graz'zt at her side, who provided begrudging insight into the magic she longed to tamper with.
While trapped in Oerth, Graz'zt would eventually manipulate and seduce her into dropping her guard, fleeing, and betraying her.
She would lose her hold on Perrenland as a result and the two would attempt to kill each other before Graz'zt fled back to the Abyss.
Later, he would capture her and hold her captive in turn, where she would provide a very similar relationship to him as he did her. They would act as both allies and enemy until she could get free, beginning the cycle💫 between them 💙anew.
Graz'zt and Tasha have many children together, though the best known is Iuz, a half-cambion in Oerth.
Graz'zt and Tasha's relationship is filled with little hypocrisies. Neither can truly define whether it's love or hate that keeps them at one another's throats, and it could be speculated that neither can decide if they truly want the other dead, despite their many clashes.
Tasha As An Archfey
Eventually, the Witch Queen would move into Feywild, desperate to escape the large number of enemies she'd accrued, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:establishing her own D🌌omain of Delight called "Prismeer."
Warped by the Feywild the longer she stayed within it, Tasha would ascend to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:mantle of an archfey, as she had long surpassed mere mortals' power. Tasha would then take on yet another alias: Zybilna.
Recognizing that this new form was outside of her realm of knowledge, she would give up demonology in favor of studying fey.
She would cast aside her former dark impulses, magically locking them away toꦜ better serve as a benevolent ruler—though whetherꦗ it was out of newfound altruism or to keep herself safe is up to the Dungeon Master.
Her sisters, however, would desire power for themselves, using her own cauldron against her to freeze Tasha/Zybilna in temporal stasis. The Wild Beyoꦐnd the Witchlight module explores this moꩲre in its final chapters, sending adventurers to save Zybilna.
In Vecna: Eve of Ruin, Zybilna has answered Alustriel Silverhand's summons by reaching across time to send a version of herself from the past to assist with a Wish spell. She would send a version of herself from the past, before she became the Witch Queen or Iggwilv.
