However🎀, this die could be fun if you use it for special rolls like Divine Intervention. However, most of the time, you're either no𓆏t going to really be using this die or you'll be asking your DM how you're supposed to roll it again. It's just not all that satisfying in the end.

6 The D6

Oh, It's Just Normal

One of the highlights of any first-time player's journey through Dungeons & Dragons is having their DM ask them to roll a d6. Veteran DMsඣ know what happens next. The player looks up in confusio🐼n. You point out the correct dice to them, and they laugh.

The d6 loses points on this ranking only because, at the end of the day, it's just a normal die. If you've ever played any kind of board game, you've rolled a d6 before. The d10 is where things start to get exciting. Like the d8, the d10 has a very unique shape and a very bouncy roll that's highly satisfying. Plus, there's something incredibly unique about this die that always manages to get a laugh ou𝐆t of me, as a veteran DM who often DMs for newbies.

When new players roll the d10, they often roll and then look up 🐲at you in dismay before quietly whispering, 'I rolled a zero.' There's a delightful moment of contrived sadness before you get to explain to them that, no, they actually rolled a ten! There's something so delightfully charming about the fact that these dice don't actually have the number ten written on them, and the alternative was to write a zero. Some d10s have symbols akin to the 20 on the d20, but personally, I prefer the old-fashioned way. It's much more 🏅fun that way.
