168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dune: Spice Wars features not one, not two, but four tech trees with which to upgrade your empire. Research tends to be slow on Arrakis, so it's important to carefully choose which Developments you select. A few are clear immediate picks, but for most of the game the path forward won't be so obvious.
We've combed the tech tree to find our picks for the best Developments to research right away. These technologies will provide the most advancement for your hard-earned Knowledge and set you up with the necessary resources to claim victory over your foes.
Dune: Spice Wars is currently in early access. The game, and by extension the tech tree, is not in its final form a💮nd may be updated. As such, the contents of this list are subject to change.
Updated on August 23, 2022 by Matt Arnold: As development continues on Dune: Spice Wars, Shiro Games is balancing factions and technologies with player feedback and testing in mind. A few key Developments have been nerfed since launch - they're still critical for players to research, but won't be quite as game-breaking. We've updated this list to reflect the changes.
9 ♐ Sand Diplomacy
- Statecraft (Blue), Tier 4
By the time you're ready to research top-tier Developments, you'll likely have encountered several Sietch throughout the desert and possibly even allied with some. Sand Diplomacy speeds this process by increasing the resources you receive from Sietch trading and boosting the rate at which your relationship with a Sietch increases.
Even better, Sand Diplomacy provides you with additio🎶nal Authority from Agents assigned to Arrakis Infiltration, making it easier to conquer far-flung Regions despite their higher annexation costs.
8 Local Hubs ✅
- Arrakis (Green), Tier 2
This early Development is a great follow-up to Local Dialect Studies as it allows you to quickly take advantage of your increased ability to annex Villages. Once it's researched, Local Hubs grants 0.2 Knowledge per Village per day, effectively accelerati♛ng all your further research for free.
Since Knowledge is otherwise expensive to come by unless you're lucky enough to annex and exploit Mount Idaho, this Development is the most economical option for keeping pace with the other factions on Dune.
7 ꦗ Energy Markets
- Economy (Yellow), Tier 3
Fuel Cells are necessary for Ornithopters and Spice Harvesters, but otherwise don't do much. By researching Energy Markets, you can increase your Fuel Cell capacity and make your surples work for you. With this Development researched, your factories will produce twenty percent more Fuel Cells, and for every one that isn't used you'll receive an extra two Solari per month. This makes it an excellent choice for players with access to several Geothermal Vents.
Since the Fremen don't use Fuel Cells, they instead have a unique Development called Spreading The Faith. It allows them to build Shai-Hulud Temples if they don't already have the building unlocked through a Councillor, and provides them with two Solari per month for every neutral Village on the map. As an extra incentive to maintain neutral territories, Fremen with Spreading The Faith also receive a lump sum of one thousand Solari every time they liberate a Village from the off-worlders.
6 ♉ Call To Arms ✃
- Military (Red), Tier 3
Conflict is inevitable in the course of a campaign in Dune: Spice Wars, so it's important to be ready when the time comes. By researching Call To Arms, you not only give yourself a permanent ten-percent boost to Manpower production but you also unlock your faction's elite unit.
Since your standing army can't be everywhere at once, Call To Arms also allows you to recruit Heavy Militia in your Villages, whose increased combat capabilities over standa𝓡rd militia can buy you much-needed time to respond when the enemy comes knocking.
5 Spying Lo🦋gistics ♏
- Statecraft (Blue), Tier 2
Agents and espionage are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a crucial part of the game, so getting more Agents into the field quickly is an important step on your journey to global domination. Spying Logistics more than doubles the rate at which Agents are recruited, which will be a welcome relief since each Agent takes longer to recruit than the last. Try to have Spying Logistics finished by the time you've recruited your fourth Agent at the very latest.
4 Structured Warehouses ജ
- Economy (Yellow), Tier 2
Structured Warehouses unlocks the Processing Plant, an important building that allows you to exploit Rare Element deposits for Solari. These buildings are necessary for your economy as eventually Spice profits alone won't cover your costs. The only reason not to take Structured Warehouses as your second or third pick overall is if there are no Rare Elements near your base (which is its own problem).
Structured Warehouses also reduce the construction cost of Maintenance Centers, which c♒an significantly lower your upkeep requirements over a wide area if placed strategically.
The Smugglers replace Structured Warehouses with Underworld Contacts. While this unique tech still unlocks the Processing Plant, it does not reduce the cost of Maintenance Centers. Instead, it grants the Smugglers a permanent twenty-percent increase to the Solari they earn from pillaging.
3 ⛦Water Sellers C꧅ontracts
- Arrakis (Green), Tier 2
As your borders expand and your armies grow, you're going to need more Water. This Development can save you the cost of building new Windtraps by reducing the Water upkeep of your Villages and units.
Additionally, if you can lay claim to the Polar Sink you can construct the Water Extractor t൩heꦆre, providing your empire with a whopping fifty Water.
The Fremen replace Water Sellers Contracts with Dune Wanderers. This unique Development doesn't reduce the Water upkeep to Villages, but provides a greater discount for units as well as improving their already-efficient Supply consumption.
2 Ground 🅠Command
- Military (Red), Tier 2
Ground Command is a necessary step for growing your military from a handful of units patrolling the area around your capital to a proper fighting force. By increasing your Command Point limit and reducing the Manpower upkeep of your units, it allows you to field more units at a time. It's also a prerequisite for Call To Arms, making it all the more critical for168澳洲幸运5开奖网: empires who n💟eed a modernized mil🤡itary.
1 Composite 🔴Materials
- Economy (Yellow), Tier 1
After capturing your first Village, you'll be able to select your first research from among the Tier 1 Developments in each tree. In nearly every game, this first selection should be Composite Materials. The discount to construction costs that it grants, along with reduced build times, mean that choosing any other tech is giving your opponents an early head start.
The only building you should put up without the benefit of this essential technology is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:your first Spice extractor and possibly an early Windtrap or Plascrete Factory. For everything else, the discount is a necessity that outweighs all other early considerations. Pick Composite Materials first and don't look back.
