So, if you're looking to improve your Mentat skill tree, you're probably wondering where to find the Advanced Mentat Trainer. That's why we've created this guide. Here's everything you need to know to co﷽mplete the Advanced Mentat Training.
Where To Find The Advanced Mentat Trainer
First, before starting this quest, make sure you have completed the basic Mentat training first. Once you've done this, head to Arrakeen.
This request requires two trips to Arrakeen, so make sure you have at least 5,000 Solari on your person beforꦅe setting out.
Here, you'll find Zayn de Witte, a peculiar Mentat you can find in the corner of the bar on Arrakeen.
Talk to him to accept your first contract.
Interrogate The Mobula
Once you've talked to Zayn, he'll send you to interrogate members of the Mobula gang. You can find the first of these at the Anvil.
Most of the dialogue trees in this quest are self-explanatory, just make sure you're noꦺt ending the conversation prematurely by selecting 'Goodb🔯ye.'
Talk to the Mobula and intimidate him into revealing the location of the second Mobula gang member, located at the Harkonnen Fortress.
Interrogate this member and coerce him into revealing the location of their Mobula base.
Enter The Mobula Base
From there, you'll need to enter a couple of Mobula bases and sabotage them for Zayn. Head to the first location marked on your map.
Enter the base and defeat the enemies inside. Once you do, you'll find an open console planted just outside the base on the north side. Interact with it to learn the location of additional bases.
Before you leave, you'll also need to sabotage a few areas of the base. This is easiest to do when you've defeated all the enemies already, so make sure 💞you do that first.
From there, head to the following locations:
- Generator - Northeast side of the base
- Vehicle - West side of the base
Simply interact with each object to sabotage it. Then, you can head to the next base location.
Chattel Passage
From here, you'll want to head to the point on your map labeled Chattel Passage to the northeast of the first base. This is another big Intel Base, so you'll want to take out the enemies inside before exploring.
If you're ever having trouble finding a specific location, use your para-compass at the top of your screen, and this can help dire𝓡ct you to the right area.
Once you've done so, enter the first floor of the base, and look for the small black case to collect the Minimic film inside.
Then, just like before, head to the Comms Console to sabotage it.

Once you've done this, you can head back to Arrakeen.
Delivering To Zayn
Once you've returned to Arrakeen, find Zayn once again. He'll ask you to deliver the information you've found to Thufir Hawat, who is in Arrakeen.
Head to the top-level landing pad at the back of Arrakeen. You'll find Thufir under a canopy on the north side. Give him the information, and then return to Zayn to complete the quest.
Once you've completed this first quest, you can continue completing contracts for Zayn to earn even more Mentat skills.
