I've had some fun with the DualSense Edge at a close friend's house. My friend doesn't regret her purchase one bit. That said, her main job involves playtesting upcoming games, whereas mine - while it clearly requires a fair bit of gaming - is often spent typing away at my keyboard instead. The difference in how much the $200 price point feels justified for her, and how much it'd feel justified for me, kind of says it all. I'm hunkered down in front of my PlayStation 5 for around 30 hours a week on average, and I'm just fine sticking with the regular DualSense rather than forking over two Franklins for an impressive upgrade that hardly feels essential. As for my friend? She's on her PS5 for 60, sometimes more. If I don't think I'm 'worth' the investment, I can't imagine recommending it to folks whose PlayStation fun is more casual than mine is.
