If you want to usurp her and end the corruption, you'll need allies, and one of them has been imprisoned for the crime of standing up against Disa. His wisdom is invaluable for the future🍃, and as the Arisen, you can't just let an innocent person languish in jail.
How To Start The Caged Magistrate
Once you arrive in Vernworth and have your first cutscene with Brant, let some time pass, then return to the Stardrop Tavern at night and speak with him in one of the side rooms.
Alongside the quests 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Disa's Plot and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Culling, The Caged Magistrate is one of the first main story quests given by Brant, and it'll have you rescuing someone imprisoned in the castle gaols.
Brant will hand over the Gaol Key as part of the quest, and you'll need it to access the gaol cells ꦛbeneath Vernworth.
How To Free Waldhar From Gaol
With the in your inventory, head down to the Slums area of Vernworth, and take the cliffside path between two shacks, and follow it back until you see a staircase.
Climb up the nearby rocks, then head over to the gate in the cliff wall and use the Gaol key to unlock the door there.
If you've angered the guards previously by accident or during another quest, you'll need to either kill the guards or disguise yourself with a guard's uniform to avoid a fight.
Go up the stairs and into the jail, unlock the next door with the Gaol Key again, then go to the last cell on the left side of the room where Waldhar is sitting on his bed.
Unlock the door and speak to him inside the cell, and you'll need to convince Waldhar to leave his cell. This can be done if you've completed 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Heel Of History and unlocked the library beneath the Gracious Hand. If you haven't done that yet, do so now.
Ask him to come with you, and then you'll need to lead him out of the gaol safely. Once Waldhar gets to the gate in the cliff wall, he'll thank you and leave on his own for the library.
Head back to Brant at the Stardrop Tavern during the night, and you can report rescuing Waldhar and return the Gaol Key to him for a reward of:
- 1,200 EXP
- 7,000 Gold
- One
After The Caged Magistrate is completed, you can visit Waldhar in the library later and pick up the sidequest A Magisterial Amenity from him.
