If any Vacation deserves to be called a glass cannon, it's this one.

As strong as Sorcerers can be, they don't start out as casters of mass destruction. Getting the most out of this class will require the right items, spel♎ls, and Vocation Augments. Fortunately, you don't need to wait until the endgame to make your🐎 Sorcerer a powerhouse. Acquire your Vocation's Maister skills and some good equipment, and you'll become virtually unstoppable.

This build guide is aimed at players roughly halfway through Dragon's Dogma 2. It uses items that can be found throughout the Vernworth province, including Maister skills. No💮 endgame items are showcased to avoid spoilers.

Build Overview

Sorcerers harness the elements to incant powerful spells and empower themselves, creating thunderstorms and meteor showers with little more than their archstaff. We want to go all-in on this playstyle by enhancing the Sorcerer's damage and cast speed. Through the use of certain rings and spells, you'll be able ꦑto summon a massive tornado or flurry of lightning bolts whꦜenever you see fit.

Of course, Sorcerers are known as glass cannons in most ARPGs, and Dragon's Dogma 2 is no exception. The Sorcerer has few survivability tools, so you'll need to rely on the help of your allied Pa𓂃wns to stay alive. Fighters, Warriors, and Mages are invaluable to a Sorcerer. Even fellow Sorcerers can prove useful thanks to Auxiliary Incanting, the ab🌌ility for multip🍰le casters to channel the same spell simultaneously.

Skills And Augments

⛎Your choice of skills and augments will boil down to three conditions:

1. Are you playing a Sorcerer?
2. Is your Pawn a Sorcerer?
3. Are there other Sorcerers in your party?

The last condition might seem arbitrary, but having a party of multiple Sorcerers makes it much easier to cast this Vocation's Mais🔴ter spells: Maelstrom and Meteoron. We will showcase two configurations you can use depending on your party composition and general playstyle. The Arisen build is meant for players or parties comprised of multiple Sorcerers. If you plan on having only one Sorcerer, use the Pawn build instead.

Arisen Sorcerer Build

Weapon Skills
Maelstrom	Conjures a tornado t🎶hat deals massive damage to targe🧜ts caught in its path. Cannot move or use Quickspell while casting.
Meteoron	Summons a meteor shower that deals immense damag⛄e. Cannot move or use Quickspell while casting.
Augural Flame	Attaches a magick orb to the target that detonates after a short duration. Damaging the orb extends its duration ♏and increases the number of possible explosi𒁏ons.
High Spellhold	♑Activate to store the spell you're currently casting. Once charged, use Spellhold again to immediately cast the stored spell. Only one spell may be st𒉰ored at a ti💟me. Stored spells persist indefinitely, even after resting. Can store all spell types, including Maister spells.
Augments
Subtlety	De♛creases the likelihood of being🔥 targeted by foes.
Apotropaism	Grants +120 Magick Defense.
Constancy	Grants 15% increased Knockdown Resistance.
Sagacity	Grants +30 Magick.
Catalysis	Spells that exploit a target's elemental weaknꦿess deal 5% more damage.
Asperity	Your skills are more ♉likely to inflict debilitat⛎ions.

If you want to become the ultimate glass cannon of your party, you can't go wrong with Maelstrom and Meteoron, the Sorcerer's Maister spells. Maelstrom creates a powerful tornado that deals immense damage to targets caught within. It should ideally be cast inside closed spaces like buওildings or caves to affect as many targets as possible.

Meteoron summons four meteors that crash into the ground shortly upon casting, obliterating just abo🥀ut ever🧸y non-boss unit in the game. Tougher foes like chimeras and drakes will take significant damage from this attack and will usually become staggered. Try to use this spell outdoors to give the meteors plenty of room to crash down upon your foes.

While both spells deal absurd damage, they take an eternity to cast and leave you quite vulnerable. To remedy this, we use High Spellhold. This allows you to store a charged spell into your Spellhold slot, instantly casting that spell when invoked again. You can store Maister spells, so you can have a backup meteor shower or tornado ready to go for every combat encounter. If that somehow isn't enough, throw in an Augural Flare to pump out even more damage.

If you're in the early game and don't have access to Maelstrom or Meteoron, feel free to use High Levin and High Salamander instead. They don't deal as much damage, but they can be channe𒀰led much faജster.

As for your Augments, the only mandatory pick is Subtelty, which comes from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the second rank of Thief. This greatly reduc🌞es the amount of enemy aggression (aggro for short) your spells will generate, causing most enemies to attack your Pawns instead. If one of your Pawns has the Provocation Augment from Fighter, you will a🤡lmost never be targeted.

The rest of our Augments are mostly down to preference, although we highly suggest you grab Apotropaism from Mage and most Sorcerer Augments. Apotropaism gives you a ton of resistance to magick damage, and Constancy will make𓄧 you much more resistant to knockdown effects. Sagacity, Asperity, and Catalysis are used to increase your damage output, although they're far from mandatory; feel free to use QoL options in their place.

This skill configuration focuses more on offering a mix of damage and utility to your party. Pawn AI struggles to make good use of Spellhold, so running double Maister spells tends to do more harm than good. That's why we have dropped Meteoron for High Levin and Spellhold for High Hagol inst♊ead. You'll rely on Augural Flame and Maelstrom to deal good single-target dama𒀰ge.

High Levin is a powerful spell for quickly wiping out a group of enemies. It channels quickly, deals great damage, and can damage airborne targets. For tougher foes, we use High Hagol and the Asperity Augment to quickly slow and freeze them. Slowing down a large enemy is surprisingly useful and makes climbing them much ꧅safer. It's also the ultimate counter to slime enemies.

Our Augments are the same as the Arisen build. The only mandatory one is Subtlety🐎, as this reduces the attention your Pawn will generate from casting its spells. Throw in a chara🌞cter with the Provocation Augment, and your Sorcerer will seldom be targeted. The rest of our Augments provide generic offensive and defensive buffs.

Equipment

No skilled Sorcerer is worth their salt without an oversized hat and a fancy archstaff. The starting equipment you get as a Sorcerer is quite lackluster and should be replaced as soon as possible. For your archstaff, we recommend buying the from Celeste's Smithy in the Checkpoint Rest Town. You can take an oxcart there straight from Vernworth. The Lion-Lord's Archstaff in the Sacred Arbor is a stronger staff but far more expensi♔ve.

As for armor, Fashion's Dogma is king; dress to impress. The Arᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚes Morpho Robes are incredibly good and can be obtained during the Mage's Maister skill quest, but it's far from mandatory. If you fancy a large wizard hat, you can pick up the Arcane Hat from Grisha's Armory in the Sacred Arbor. Every other armor slot is down to personal taste.

Item Upgrades

For your Archstaff, you want Elven upgrades to increase its magick as much as possible. One such bl🐲acksmith may be found in the Sacred A🅠rbor.

All armor should use Vernworth upgrades to enhance your overall defenses. If you're close to the endgame and hate getting staggered, Dwarven upgrades ar🔯e 🥂also worth considering.

What isn't as subjective is your choice of rings. Sorcerers take eons to cast their spells, so you might want to pick up two Rings of Articulacy from Grisha's Armory. Each ring provides a noticeable bonus to your cast speed, and they stack. With two Articulacy rings equipped, your Sorcerer will f𒆙eel much far responsive in combat.

Sorcerer Tips

• Always have Augural Flame active. This is your bread-and-butter damage spell. The more damage the orb takes, the more explosions it'll create.
• Spellhold works on Meister spells. Try to save a cast of Meteoron or Maelstrom when combat ends.
• Fellow Sorcerers can aid in the casting of spells. Doing so greatly reduces their channeling period. This works for all Sorcerer spells, including Meister spells.
• Remember to use Galvanize to quickly recover your stamina during combat.
• Staggers and knockdowns can break your casting animation. Consider investing in Dwarven armor upgrades to mitigate this issue.
