The Coral Snakes have been a thorn in Battahl's side for some time in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon's Dogma 2, and even with some of them jailed, the authorities aren't any closer to bringing them down. One of those recently jailed is Hugo, a young man with a goo🐲d heart despite his banditry.

Dragon's Dogma 2: The Phantom Oxcart Quest Walkthrough
Follow rumors of a mysterious oxcart seen along the roads in Dragon's Dogm𓂃a 2.
You could just leaꦫve him to rot in prison, but it would be a terrible sentence for someone whose crimes are relatively minor. Hope isn't lost for Hugo though. You might just be able to help the young man find a better way of life if you've got the connections to do so.
How To The Start Off The Pilfered Path Quest
Off The Pilfered Path is the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:next quest after Mercy Of Thieves, and you can get a hint that it's available by speaking to Benjamin near the Oxcart Stop in Bakbattahl after around one in-game day has passed.
You'll also need to have completed the side quests 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tolled To Rest and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Shadowed Prayers for this quest to trigger.
He'll mention Hugo being in the Battahli gaols, but that he isn't talking yet. Let one in-game day pass, then speak to Benjamin again, and he'll give you some new info.
Head to the Residential Ward and follow the path east until you reach the gaol and speak to the guard standing outside the entrance, then go down inside.
The Battahli Gaol isn't marked on the map, but there is a Riftstone you can use as a location reminder nearby.
Hugo will be in the first cell on the north side of the room once you come down the stairs, but he won't talk until you speak to Brefft, who's in the second cell on the left side of the building.
Speak to Brefft three times in a row to get all the necessary information from him, then go back to Hugo. Now, you'll have the option to speak with him, and you'll also get two options about what to tell him.
Deciding To Tell Hugo The Truth
If you decide to go ahead and tell Hugo what Brefft said, he will stop speaking to you entirely, and you'll need to leave the gaol and let around one in-game day pass.
Return to the gaol and speak to Ekratt, and he'll inform you that Hugo's gone and that another prisoner is dead. From here, you'll need to head to the Ancient Battleground as soon as possible.
If you don't get to the Ancient Battleground within around one in-game day, you will find both Hugo and Lanzo dead.
Once you're at the Ancient Battleground, you'll find bandit enemies within the main area that you'll need to kill as you make your way up to the very top of the castle area where a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyclops can normally be found.
You'll find Lanzo and several bandits there instead of the Cyclops, and you'll want to go ahead and attack them and kill Lanzo. Once the deed is done, Hugo will appear behind you, and you'll need to speak with him.
Deciding Not To Tell Hugo The Truth
If you decide to say nothing to Hugo, you'll instead get a conversation about Hugo's life going forward with him, and lose the option to tell him the truth.
You can use the Ox Cart Bell to pass a day's time for the quest instead of using an inn to rest and save in case you want to make a different decision.
After talking with Hugo, speak to the guard from outside the door, Eskratt, and you can pay him 1,000 Gold to speed up Hugo's release.
Leave the gaol after you've paid, let one in-game day pass, then return and speak with Ekratt again.
You can still go to the Ancient Battleground and kill Lanzo asꦛ long as you've obtained the information from Brefft.
You'll need to pay him another 2,500 Gold and let another in-game day pass, then go back and speak with him a third and final time.
This time, Ekratt will release Hugo from the gaol, and you'll need to pay him another 5,000 Gold afterward.
How To Find Honest Work For Hugo
The final quest step is where both decisions will intersect: regardless of which decision you made, if Hugo survives his encounter at the Ancient Battleground, you'll need to find him honest work.
There are two options for work that you can suggest to Hugo, and both are dependent on having completed other quests: working at the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Rose Chateau Bordelrie or working at Isaac's Apothecary in Bakbattahl.
If you haven't completed either quest enough to suggest them to Hugo, he will either wait for your help at the Ancient Battleground or wait for you outside the Battahli Gaol depending on your earlier decisions.
How To Help Hugo Work At The Rose Chateau
If you've completed Wilhelmina's quest, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Every Rose Has Its Thorns, you'll be able to suggest working at the Rose Chateau, but only if you aided Wilhelmina during the quest and got the good ending.
Hugo will agree to see about it, and after a few in-game days have passed, you'll be able to find him working at the Rose Chateau, though you can't pay for his services.
How To Help Hugo Work At Isaac's Apothecary
If you've completed Isaac's quest, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Short-Sighted Ambition, you can suggest working at the apothecary shop to Hugo, but only if you've delivered a real copy of to Isaac and obtained the bad ending of the quest.
If you've gotten the bad end, you'll need to make sure that there's a sign outside Isaac's shop saying it's closed before you can suggest it to Hugo.
Hugo will look into the job and after a few in-game days have passed, you'll be able to find him working at Isaac's Apothecary, and he'll take over selling items to you.
