One such quest is House Of The Blue Sunbright. Packed with danger, mystery, and family drama, this quest is also easily missed if you don't spend plenty of time around the various areas of Vernworth. On top of that, you might be worried for young Sebastian's life if you make the wrong choices. Read on to ensure a mostly happy outcome for all invol🎐ved.

Unlocking The House Of The Blue Sunbright Quest

Though intended to feel dynamic and unscripted within the game, there are certain prerequisites to unlocking House Of The Blue Sunbright. The first of these is completing Daphne's quest, The Gift Of Giving, which can be found in the Slums of Vernworth.

With that quest complete, you may encounter Diana while wandering about Vernworth, who will approach you when you're nearby. She will a🐠sk you to meet her in the manor of her lord in the noble district, and at this point, the quest is ꦫunlocked.

Finding Sebastian's Double And Preparing For His Journey To Melve

Talking to Juliana in the Vernworth Slums about Daphne and someone who looks just like her

Diana and Sebastian are located in the Townsend Manor, which is within the Noble Quarter. Once you enter, a cutscene w𝔍ill trigger introducing Sebastian, who looks eeril🌸y similar to the orphan from the Slums, Daphne.

He and Diana will request that you find the girl from the Slums who looks like Sebastian and ask her to temporarily take his place.

As you've likely pieced together at this point, the girl in question is Daphne. She can be found in the Slums, standing by the hill beside the Gracious Hand that leads down to the beach during the day.

During the night, she caꦐn often be fo🎉und sleeping in one of the tents or ruined buildings on the hill that leads back into the city proper.

Daphn♐e will be apprehensive at first, though will agree in short order without needing any convincing from you. She will run off to the Noble Quarter and you are free to join her at your leisure.

Once you return to Townsend Manor, another cutscene will trigger, and Daphne will be ushered away into her disguise as Sebastian's exceedingly convincing impersonator. Now Sebastian can prepare for his journey to Melve where he hopes to find a particular flower to make his ailing mother feel better - a Blue Sunbright.

Speaking with Diana and Daphne will give hints as to what items should be given to Sebastian to ensure him a safe journey to Melve. Any variation can be given, though the correꦗct ones will ensure Sebastian's journey is a safe and peaceful one.

In the event that you do not give Sebastian the correct items, this will not immediately result in his death. Instead, Diana will ask you to check on him after you revisit the manor, where you will find him beset by monsters on the road to Melve.

Save him and the quest will progress as normal.

The correct items to give Sebastian are something that smells of a Cyclops, and something that can ward of🉐f sleep and poison. These items can be used to protect Sebastian on the way to Melve:

  • Something that smells like a Cyclops -
  • Something that wards off sleep and poison - for sleep and for poison. and also work, though it is best to save them for yourself.

With these items keeping him safe, Sebastian will set off, leaving Daphne and Diana to care for the home in his absence. Diana will ask you to return in a few days so that you migh♑t see Sebastian upon his return and reward you properly then.

Now, you wait.

Sebastian's Return And Quest Outcomes

After waiting a few in-game days (three or four should be plenty), you may return to the Townsend Manor. ༒Regardless of whether you had to save Sebastian or not, he will return victorious, Blue Sunbright flower in tow. Unfortunately, not all is well at home.

Don't rely on your Pawns reminding you to return, a𝕴s it can be random when they remember if enough time has passed for a quest to progress.

Sebastian's mother, Natasha, will appear and question what is going on. Despite the good intentions of Diana and Sebastian, Natasha will exude an unpleasant aura, and ask that Daphne return to the Gracious Hand, with promises from Natasha that she will continue to be a gܫenerous benefactor of the facilit🥀y. She also invites Diana upstairs for a private conversation.

Sebastian will be confused by the situation, but grant you your reward regardless. You are given 3,000 gold and two . The quest is now complete.

However, you may see further results of this quest if you wait a day or two. If you return to the Townsend Manor, you will notice that Diana is no longer present.

Travel to the Slums, and you will find her there instead. She haꦯs been remove♚d from her position because of how dangerously close she came to exposing a family secret - that Sebastian and Daphne are actually siblings.

Separately, Kendrick of the Gracious Hand may approach you to enquire as to your meddling in the House Of The Blue Sunbright, and request you not inform Daphne of her noble lineage, lest the Gracious H💖and lose all its funding, aꦺnd the care for the ill and unhomed of the Slums that it provides.
