Summary
- Sparking Zero's Episode Battles mostly give a good amount of time and focus to each character.
- Vegeta noticeably gets the short straw, though, as his arc ends after his fight with Kid Buu.
- Fans have expressed disappointment with Vegeta's story mode and wished that it included anything from Super.
players aren't happy about Vegeta's "lazy" Episode Battle and can't believe that the Prince of al♑l Saiyans has such a short story mode.
One of the most i🌊nteresting aspects of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero compared to the older Budokai Tenkaichi games is how it handles its story mode. While the rest of the trilogy mostly focused on just retelling the story of Dragon Ball Z in one massive mode, Spꦚarking Zero instead splits them up into eight different campaigns called Episode Battleﷺs.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Story Mode Almost Made Me Go Super Sai𒉰yan
Even if you’ve played the original Budokai Tenkaichi games, you aren’t prepared🌱 for how tougꦿh Sparking Zero’s story mode is.
Each Episode Battle focuses on a different character and their length depends on the hero or villain at the centre. Goku's is, of course, the longest of the bunch, but considering Vegeta🔯 is the secondary protagonist, you'd expect him to have the second-longest in the game, right? That sadly isn't the case, as he actu👍ally has one of the shortest.
Sparking Zero Players Aren't Happy With Vegeta's Episode Battle
For whatever reason, despite having plenty of screen time in Super and even getting a unique transformation during that arc, Vegeta's Episo🃏de Battle randomly ends after ⛄his fight against Kid Buu. It's strange considering how much he appears in everyone else's campaign and how many iconic꧒ Vegeta moments are༺ just missed out.
Vegeta doe💧sn't even get his epic battle against Goku Black where he ca🔜lls him out for using the original Goku's body. .
It seems that a lot of Sp꧒arking Zero players have noticed how weirdly short Vegeta's campaign is. pointing out how "lazy" Vegeta's Episode Battle is and pointed out that it not only skips the w💙hole Saiyan Saga but also his story in Super.
The comments in the post are equally confused about why Vegeta got the short end of the stick when it comes to Episode Battles. While it seems that most are happy with his what-if stories (especially when he goes Super Saiyan 2 against Cell), the general co♋nsensus is that a lot more could have been done with his canonical stories.
This is a problem that also extends to some of the other characters, such as Future Trunks only having his Super arc and nothing from Dragon Ball Z. Overall, though, it's clear that fans are especially unhappy with Vegeta having such a short campaign cons♎idering how important he is to the story and how much was left on the cutting room floor
