Jiren In Versus And Online Matches

Jiren's stats in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

As a brand-new character to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Jiren is one of its most exciting additions. He's a character that's all about strength, so it makes sense that he hits like an absolute truck. True to his appearance in the anime, though, he's also surprisingly fast and has some great speed in his base combos.

Jiren's moveset is fairly standard for a Sparking Zero character, with one Blast Super, Power Impact, and one Rush Super, Infinity Rush, as his main special moves. In between pulling off combos, you're going to want to mix those moves in as often as possible, with both being particularly helpful if you manage to pull off a grab or knock an opponent to the floor.

Jiren's Heat Break ultima♍te is incredibly powerful and worth trying to use whenever your opponent has been knocked away and is open to being hit with a Rus☂h attack.

What makes Jiren unique among the cast is his skill moves. His first one, Ki Pressure, acts like an Explosive Wave that is perfect for getting some distance between you and your enemies. If you use this and then follow up with a special move, it's a great way to guarantee some da🐠mage.

You won't want to use it all that much, though. The big ace up Jiren's sleeves is his other skill move, Meditation. Meditation takes a lot of Skill Count to use at four bars, but it restores a full bar of health and keeps him in the fight for longer. If you can save the Skill Count for Meditation, it stands out as one of the things that makes Jiren one of the best characters in the game.

Jiren In Episode Battle

Jiren's Episode Battle page in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

Jiren's Episode Battle is one of the hardest in the whole game, as it puts him up against some of the strongest fighters in Sparking Zero with their maximum amount of health. To get through Episode Battle as easily as possible, you're going to want to focus on using his Meditation move as much as possible to get through the lengthy fights. Jiren almost has max health, but so doe🅘s everyone else you fight.

When you're not using Meditation or have a lot of health, it's best to charge up into Sparking Mode and deal mega damage with his Ultimate move, which does more in Episode Battle than in versus mat🐟ches. Charging into Sparking Mode does take a Skill Count bar away, so it's best to only do this when you've got the health to spare.

Beyond that, using Jiren should be fairly simple since his moveset isn't too unique or hard to wrap your head around. Just make use of his moves accordingly and follow our specific guide on how 🍰to beat Episode Battle matches easily if you want ⛦a simple combo that seems to 𒐪wreck most characters in the mode.

Jiren (Full Power) In Versus And Online Battles

Jiren (Full Power)'s stats in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

Jiren's fully-powered form can be selected as your starting character for a match, or transformed into during a match once you have one bar full of your Transformation meter. This form of Jiren is much more powerful than his base form and also starts with four bars of health, which makes him a good starting pick, although he can't step back into his normal form so you're a bit stuck with him.

This version of Jiren is pretty similar to his base form when it comes to combos and basic attacks, but his special moves do get changed around a bit. While the Heatwave Magnetron is basically the same as Power Impact, Overheating Blast is incredibly different and acts as a massive area-of-effect explosion that is a little difficult to catch enemies in. It'𓃲s worth only using ♌this when an enemy is downed, as it's otherwise pretty easy to avoid and costs too much Ki to waste. Only use it if you're sure it'll hit.

Jiren (Full Power) also sees a big change to one of his Skill moves. Instead of Meditation (which was his best one, if you remember), this Jiren has Strength is Absolute!, which instantly causes him to go into Sparking Mode. While it's a shame to lose the health regeneration, getting to go into Sparking and then be able to pull off an Ultimate instantly is also a big win, so it's not too bad a tradeoff.

Jiren (Full Power) In Episode Battles

Jiren (Full Power) in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

You'll only get to use this version of Jiren in a few of his Episode Battle matches, so there's not all that much to say about it like there was his base form. However, the key to winning with him is pretty much the same in that you want t๊o 🦩use his Skill moves whenever you have enough resources to do so.

The key one here is Strength is Absolute!, which you should use whenever you can to power up, Dragon Dash behind your opponent, and then launch an Ultimate at them. Considering how overpowered Jirꦡen's moves are in the story mode, this makes short work of pretty m🎃uch any enemy you go up against and can take nearly half their health away each time.
