Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has two training modes:

  • Battle Training is a lesson mode that teaches basic to advanced maneuvers with explanations and hands-on missions.
  • Training is a traditional training mode that lets you practice freely with customized battle settings.

How To Access Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero's Training Modes

DB Sparking Zero's training modes are in the game's Main Menu. Follow the steps below:

  1. Use the L1/R1 or LB/RB buttons to shift to the Battle And Training page.
  2. Choose Super Training from the Battle And Training page.
  3. Select the training mode you wish to play to begin.

What Is Battle Training Mode?

Battle Training is a lesson mode containing a comprehensive suite of gameplay tutorials and explanations. In other words, Battle Training will teach you how to play Sparking Zero. But how do you use Battle Training, and where should 💙you start? We'll break everything down for you.

Selecting A Training Type

You'll see a menu with two options when you open Battle Training. One option is a Featured training type based on your current progress. The second option, "Select Training Type," lets you manually choose a training type from the suite.

There are five Battle Training categories in total:

Once you decide which training lesson to pursue, you can take advantage of the following features:

  • Demo: Watch Piccolo demonstrate the technique so you can see what it looks like in action. (Only available in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced training)
  • Practice: Learn to perform the technique as Gohan in a hands-on setting. (Only available in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced training)

Toggle Input Support ON to receive audio cues when you press a button on your controller. This feature can support aural learners or players with 🐎a vision i༺mpairment.

How To Use The Practice Feature

Battle Training's Practice feature will feel familiar to anyone who has played a fighting game with a mission mode. You'll review the lesson objective before receiving a button prompt at the top of the screen.

The button prompt will surge each time you press the correct input. Completing the button prompt will reveal a "Success!" message. However, if you fail to complete the button input, the prompt will turn red, shake, and disappear. Then, the button prompt will reappear so you can try again.

You can press L1/LB + Options to reset positions if Gohan and Piccolo fall out of range with each other. To exit the lesson and choose a new one, press L2/LT + Options.

What Is Training Mode?

Training mode (not to be confused with Battle Training mode) is Sparking Zero's traditional free-form training mode. You can practice with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:specific characters, stages, rule sets, and opponent strategies.

Training Mode: How To Get Started

You'll begin by selecting the stage, rule settings, and BGM. Use the L1/R1 or LB/RB buttons to shift between options. After choosing your rule settings and BGM, press cross (X) or A while highlighting your stage of choice to proceed to character selection.

You can choose up to five characters. Note: each team must not exceed 15 Destruction Points while using DP Rules. Select the character slot you wish to fill, then choose a character to assign. Use the "Remove" feature to vacate a team member slot or the "Switch" feature to adjust your team's order.

After you've composed your team, press L1/R1 or LB/RB to select the CPU's team. Finally, hold the Square (□) button to begin training.

How To Use Training Mode

There is no right or wrong way to use Training mode. However, you'll get more value if you understand Training Settings. You can adjust Training Settings anytime by entering the Pause menu and selecting "Training Settings."

There are three categories of settings you💛 can adjust:

  • Gauge Settings dictate the Health Gauge, Ki Gauge, Sparking Gauge, Skill Count Bar, and Switch Wait Time for you and your opponent.
  • Display Settings lets you toggle the UI display on and off. This feature is helpful for in-game photos.
  • Opponent Settings provide an abundant list of actions and strategies your CPU opponent will perform. These options are vital for practicing against various types of opponents.

Once you exit the Pause menu, your new Training Settings will take effect. You can reset these settings by re-entering the Training Settings menu and holding down the Triangle (△) or Y button.

Opponent Strategies, Explained

While some opponent settings focus on performing one specific action (Rush Chains, Lift Strikes, etc.), others program the CPU to play according to a particular strategy. We'll call these 'opponent strategies.'

There are a lot of opponent strategies to pick from in Training m🅷ode. While the abundance of options is welcome, it's also intimidating. Let's simplify these options, shall we?

Two things define each 'opponent strategy':

  • The strategy type determines if the CPU will act offensively, defensively, or balanced.
  • The strategy focus (listed after the colon) specifies what technique(s) the CPU will use to achieve the strategy.

For example, when you see "Defense Strategy: Gauge Recovery," that means:

  1. The strategy type is Defensive, meaning the CPU will attempt to guard against and evade your attacks.
  2. The strategy focus is Gauge Recovery, meaning the CPU will prioritize filling their ki and skill gauges.

Therefore, we can conclude that the CPU will use guarding and evasion to quickly fill the ki and skill gauges.

Once you choose an opponent strategy, you can use the strength setting to determine the CPU difficulty.
