The A Most Esteemed Purveyor trophy and achievement is tied to a side-quest called The Black Emporium. To unlock it, you simply need to progress tho🐻ugh the main story until you've completed around six or seven of the game's 'parts'.
Then, you need to head to the Caretaker in the courtyard at the Lighthouse and speak to them. If you're progressed far enough into the story, they will speak to you about the quest before you get the chance to look at Gear upgrades. You'll now be at The Black Emporium, which is a special merchant that's not tied to any of the factions in the game. The merchant sells the same kind of items, from Mementos to we🦩apons, but they 💮do not accept gold as a currency.
Instead, you need ♛to have plenty of Etheric Remnant to buy the goods on offer. You cannot use any other currency here, unlike all other merchants in the game. Since you need to collect most of the Mementos in the game to fully upgrade the Caretaker's shop, you'll need lots of Etheric Remnant and buy everything you can from the Black Emporium.
The trophy or achievement will pop the moment the quest is complete, which is while you're walking in🌸 through the door of the Black Emporium.
