Summary
- Rook's biggest opponent in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the environment.
- Rook is completely inept in the water, occasionally drowning in pools of standing water.
- They're also not good at parkour, either.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon Age: The Veilguard has no shortage of obscenely powerful enemies to face; dragons, demons, Qunari, you name it. However, one opponent, above all others, is certainly responsible for more deaths to Rook than ♓any other.
Have you ever gone on a peaceful stroll around Arlathan Forest, fighting off hordes of Darkspawn and ancient elven automatons, only to meet a grisly fate while crossing a shallow stream in the hills of Arlathan? You are not alone in this struggle. It would appear our brave and unflappable hero Rook struggles with depths over a metre. If you're unfortunate enough to wander out into a shallow pool, then don♓'t be surprised to see the person Varric chose to save the world fighting for their life in knee-deep water.
Danger Around Every Corner
I'm not the only one who's noticed Rook's struggles in the water, I'm sure his companions have noticed too but don't want to undermine their authority by pointing it out. A expresses their desire to see Rook swim, to leave behind the shackles of land and swim far and wide. We could swim to Par Vollen and find out 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:why the Antaam left the Qun, and see what Sten is up t✨o. It's completely fine that Dragon Age: The Veilguard doesn't allow you to swim, but it is q☂uite funny how little depth is considered 'drowning' territory, especially for taller races like Qunari.
At certain spots, my Dwarven Rook was struggling to stave off death in knee-high water, and as you might imagine, he's on the shorter side. As touched upon in the aforementioned thread, "I drowned in a tiny pool behind a rock. Blub blub blub." Truly an accurate assessment of our floundering hero, who need💮s to be supervised by two of his worthy companions when traversing Arlathan. We must only hope that Rook isn't a Lord of Fortune, as a hydrophobic pirate would be quite the tragic backstory.
My Rook is also prone to comedic platforming deaths. A personal favourite is when I port to Treviso to see my friends in the now-morally justified Antivan Crows and plummet to my death from the beam that connects the Eluvian to the rest of the Crows' base. Perhaps I am not 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:worthy to look upon Viago and Teia.
Remember, always keep an eye on your Rooks around bodies of water. Always listen to commands from the stationed Rookguards an༺d remain vigilant at all times.
