When it comes to building a base in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Don’t Starve Together, you’ll d൲o well to keep your natural environment in mind, as it's typically your ticket to 🍃either resources or regret. Choosing the best base location is pivotal to your main goal in this game – don’t starve, which is sometimes easier said than done.
With so many biomes available in Don’t༺ Starve Together, it can be challenging to sift through them all to find Don’t Starve Together’s best biome for a base, but we’ve combed through all the biomes in Don’t Starve Together so y🍒ou don’t have to risk it.
Updated on May 28, 2023 by Gabrielle Castania: With Don’t Starve Together’s recent update, fans of the series have been flocking back in droves to recapture the magic of trying not to die in the wilderness with their friends. We’ve touched up our list of Don’t Starve Together’s best biomes for a base to help you and your crew have the best chance at not starving.
8 Rockylands 🐟
Incredibly useful resources in the Constant can be found abundantly in the Rockyland biome, such as Rocks, Flint, Gold, Nitre and Ice. Setting up base here as Maxwell, for instance, with his Shadow minions would keep the team fully stocked and able to make plenty of Gunpowder, Crock Pots, Wigfrid Helmets, Ice Flingomatics, and much more.
However, plants can't grow through the Rocky Turf (which you can use to make Cobblestone), so you would have to dig it up and relocate whatever is needed nearby. Because of this, it's not the best place to base for newbies. On top of that, Rockylands can also be home to the Spider Queen set piece. At least♚ you'll have plenty of silk...?
7 Savannas
If you want to roam in wide open spaces, the Savanna biome could be for you. Not much grows out here aside from Grass Tufts, but there's no shortage of delicious Rabbits who make t♈heir ho♑mes here, too. Planning a base around their burrows can be tricky, but they can always be dug up and relocated, which removes the spawn site of a Rabbit.
Your base will also come with the built in defensive measure of Beefalo. These mobs will attack your various DST attackers for 34 damage, and will gang up on Hound waves and bosses alike. Watch out for Spring though, as mating season can make these furry beasts a little territorial, so they will attack you if you're nearby. Try wearing a Beefalo Hat, though, and they might ignore you.
6 Swamps
While this challenging biome may be a poor choice for newcomers, those wanting a challenge and a head start on mob resources (such as Silk, Spider Glands, Tentacle Spikes and Tentacle Spots) and easy access to the native Reed plants, then the Swamp is the place to base.
Playing as either Wurt or Webber can make this much easier, though - Wurt can detect Tenacles and pass other Merms without problem, while Webber can receive backup in battle from other Spiders he encounters. And with Hounds, Beargers, Deerclops, and more lurking in the Swamp, their 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:built-in critter assistants can come in handy.
5 Sunken Forest Caves ꦇ
This might seem counterintuitive, setting up a safe place in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the dangerous Caves, but it comes with a plethora of advantages, too. For instance, during the Summer, you won't overheat, or be exposed to Wildfires or seasonal bosses. The only issue you'll face down here are the Depthworms.
These areas often come with Grass Tufts, Twigs and Trees, and Lightflowers to restock your Miner Hat, and offer some light during the day. Most characters will have to cope with a constant Sanity drain, but Maxwell and Walter don't seem to mind it down there with the Bunnymen. You will have to do without Pigs or Bees, but it's a small price to pay for overwhelming🤪 protection.
4 ꦫ Regular Forests
If Logs are a constant source of frustration for you, then why not live in a Forest? Both Maxwell and Woody are good choices for this biome, as they can both clear out wide swaths of space in a fraction of the time other characters would need. Just keep Petrification in mind, so your Logs don't turn to Stone.
There are even Pigs nearby in mosts forest who you can use for help with cheap labor or convenient resources. Beware, though, that the amount of wood nearby makes Forest biomes a hotspot (limited pun intended) for Wildfire in the Summer.
3 Deciduous Fore🐽sts
We've put the Deciduous Forest this high in our list because they're where you'll always find the Pig King and his piggy entourage if you follow the paths to get to their base. Other notable generations include Wormholes to transport you throughout the world, the Glommer Statue (and the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pan Flutes that always appear nearby), and Sinkholes.
Catcoons are always nearby to drop useful items, or serve as a source for Large Meat and Cat Tails. Just be mindful of the Tree Guardians here as well, and remember that cutting down too many Birchnut Trees will eventually cause the spawn of Poison Birchnut Trees if you're not careful. Additionally, Wortox won't be welcomed into the Pig Ki🌠ng's colony, so 🤪be mindful of your character choice.
2 𒆙 𝓰 Oasis Deserts
Of the two Deserts, the Oasis Desert reigns supreme. Immune to Wildfires in the Summer, this mini paradise is just the place to get away from it all and relax with some fishing - that is, if you get the Desert Goggles. Without them, this 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:paradise turns into a prison, as once Antlion rears her ugly head in Summer, the Sandstorm begins, and 🍃trying to walk through it without the Goggles is ar🍒duous.
Volt Goats can only be found in the Desert, though, which can be farmed for their Horns and Electric Milk, as well as Cactus for a brilliant Sanity boost. Tumbleweeds drift across this biome, too, and catching up to them can prove beneficial as they drop nearly every resource in the game, including rare gems from time to time!
1 Grasslands 🌳꧑
Who ever said playing on easy was a bad thing? The Grasslands biome is full of lush vegetation like Carrots and Berry Bushes to offer a constant source of food, busy Beehives, and even the occasional Pond. You'll find plenty of Flowers which spawn Butterflies, and there are no inherent enemies ot♎her than the oddly-aggressive🍬 Frogs that spawn in Ponds.
While you'll need to travel for other resources, set up next to a pathway to allow yourself easy access, and you'll have a plentiful space to spread🐼 out at the end of eac🦹h day in the Grasslands.
