The Acolyte's Cancellation Shows That Star Wars Isn't Interested In Changing
One of the most oℱriginal Star Wars shows ever made is being cut short,ꦑ and that sucks.
Disney clearly had a vision for The Acolyte beyond a single season, and not only because it left loose threads in season one's finale, including the tease of a character who Star Wars fans know, but their connection to the show wasn't even hinted at, let alone explained. I guess we'll never know who that little guy in the credits scene was either. Other than those season two teasers, Disney also released lines of Funko Pops and action figures based on characters from the show, collectibles it's now choosing to pretend don't exist.

Star Wars: The Acolyte Qimir Funko Pop
Also known as The Stranger in Star Wars' canceled show, The Acolyte, this Funko Pop is modeled after Qimir. A character who will forever be better known as one with a mask, this figure shows what he looked like while he wasn't wearing it.

Star Wars: The Acolyte Osha Funko Pop
Disney clearly had big plans for The Acolyte before the show was canceled as it released a lot of merch tied to it. It's lead character Osha was among The Acolyte's one and only wave of Funko Pops, and the figure is still available to buy despite the show's cancelation.
There's a silver lining, but it probably won't remain silver for very long. Most of The Acolyte's merch is still available through Amazon and GameStop. It's still being sold for a regular price at the moment too, although I'd hazard to guess those prices will start to go up once sellers learn Disney isn't stocking those items anymore, at least on Amazon. Above and below are some of the Acolyte collectibles you can still buy despite them being wiped from the Disney store.

Star Wars The Black Series: The Acolyte Stranger Helmet
The Stranger was one of the more intriguing characters introduced to Star Wars in recent times. Even though The Acolyte has been canceled, The Stranger can live on through you thanks to this replica of his helmet that's big enough to wear and be incorporated into your Star Wars cosplay.
There's no question a lot of people are starting to suffer Star Wars fatigue. What's unfortunate is The Acolyte is where Disney finally decided to do something about it. No, it wasn't the most popular project to come out of Disney's ever-increasing Star Wars universe, but it definitely wasn't the least popular. On the bright side, we'll always have Andor. Well, one more season of Andor. No, it's not been canceled, but that's when it's story will reach it's natural conclusion.
