Every Disney Dreamlight Valley update draws me back with an air of excitement and childlike wonder. New characters and items inspire me to create in a peaceful, low-stakes environment. The Thrills and Frills update is the biggest addition yet, including more characters, a new Star Path, and Act II of the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass. Norm💖al updates draw me back in for a few weeks, tops, but this one is different. There’s so much being added at once that it could take a month or two of regular play to complete everything. While I’m sure some will rush through and want more content, I’m surprised by and more than satisfied ꦿwith the new additions.

The “A Day At Disney” Star Path expands upon the previous theme parks inspired Star Path, adding more iconic rides from the parks to the village. I can finally build a proper Disneyland for all my villagers to enjoy &n﷽dash; not to mention that now we can finally use these oversized paperweights!

If⛄ you missed the pre🧸vious Star Path, the items will be returning! You’ll find them in the Premium Shop’s rotating stock.

I collected the attractions from the first parks-inspired Star Path so I wouldn’t miss out on them, but they’ve sat in storage this whole time. I didn’t need to make a theme park in my cozy village. The rides take up a lot of space, and while cute, they serve🤪d no purpose. I’d rather add more flower beds to brighten up the village.

Now, I can hop in the queue for the attractions and take selfies on the rides. No longer will I need to wait 120 minutes to get o♒n the Dumbo ride at the parks, and I can skip waiting in the sweltering heat! It’s ideal for a cozy summer afternoon with friends.

Let’s be honest – the highly-anticipܫated addition of multiplayer was underwhelming. All you could do was walk around and visit shops together. The Thrills and Frills update adds the ability to fish, harvest resources, and remove Night Thorns together duri🗹ng Valley Visits.

It will actually feel like going on adventures with friends instead of just taking a tour of villages that look better than mine. Working together is a ma𓆉jor theme in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as you collaborate with various characters to improve the village every day. I can finally help my partner get his village in order and stock up on resources.

What better way to commemorate these adventures than with perfect pictures? Th📖e camera will also be enhanced to allow better quality photos with friends and family, which will make my mom happy.

Mꦆy favorite part of the update is free for everyone: Daisy Duck is finally making an appearance. She brin🍒gs with her the much-needed boutique, which introduces new clothing styles and the ability to share Touch of Magic designs with other players. Similar to the Dream Snaps photo contest each week, Daisy will provide design challenges that unlock exclusive Boutique items.

I’m here for it. My love of beautiful clothing and Disney meld together to make this the perfect update for me. The Touch of Magic feature has always been a big selling point, as I can design my own outfits with my favorite motifs. My inner🌠-designer can’t wait to get 🦩started, especially when Daisy is there to appreciate my hard work!

Donald Duck is sure to be happy as well. It’s not easy being separated from loved ones, as Mickey and Minnie made clear🌠 throughout thei🌌r personal quests. Being reunited with Daisy is sure to calm his temper even further, and it’s the perfect time to come back to Dreamlight Valley if you’ve been away for the last couple months. What better time to return than when a classic character is added to the mix?

The update also includes Act II of III in the expansion pass, appropriately titled The Spark of Imagination. Jafar’s schemes are ꦅfar from over, and I’m invested in uncovering more of Eternity Isle’s mysteries. While I’m still working on upgrading the hour glass, this motivates me to hurry up and do my part. There are more characters t🗹hat need my help, and I have to be ready.

One of Walt Disney’🙈s very first creations – Oswald the Lucky Rabbit – will be joining the game, too. This is a welcome surprise, given that the previous updates included more recent characters like Jack Skellington, Mike and Sulley, Stitch, and Mirabel Madrigal. The character updates have started to blend together; they all fit the mold of giving rewards based on theiꦇr movies. I’ve been playing since Early Access, and the predictable pattern has grown old.

Oswald’s unique style and appearance really pushes what Disney Dreamlight Valley is known for. While almos𝐆t every character blends together to fit the valley aesthetic, Osw𝓡ald challenges this with his unique and timeless lineart. With a newly designed chat box and a black-and-white 2D styled model, Oswald stands out and adds objects reminiscent of the silent film era as a whole (with a Disney touch, of course).

With Epic Mickey: Rebrushed slated to release later this 🐎year, it couldn&rsq🥃uo;t be better timing.

While there are still additions and changes to 🎃the base game left to be desired, this update is a big step forward. After DDV’s official release in December, this is the first big addition to the game. The promises of continued free updates are being fulfilled, and any who paid for the Expansion Pass are receiving the next installm𒊎ent of content.
