168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Disney Dreamlight Valley continues to expand, having taken fans by storm upon its 2022 debut. On paper, the basic concept — Animal Crossing a la the House of Mouse — sounded great, but many gamers had their doubts that such a licensed project could ever be any good, let alone leg out to more than a year's worth of content updates.

Disn🔜ey Dreamlight Valley:♏ How To Earn Mist Fast

Eternity Isle has a lot to discove🧜r, but you'll need Mist 🥃to unlock new areas.

Well, in the end, not only did developer Gameloft deliver an (uncharacteristically) solid experience, but it also kept up a constant stream of new villagers, quests, and biomes to explore. The biggest, by far, is the Rift in Time DLC. But which of its new features are the best? Is Eternity Isle worth your cash? Let's find out!

Updated June 10, 2024 by Bobby Mills: Act 2 of Eternity Isle has landed in Dreamlight Valley, bringing Walt's original creation Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to the table, complete with nostalgic 1920s flair. And that's not all — there have been new tweaks to crafting, and additional critters to befriend. Perfect time to update this article.

13 New Chara🐈cters

The More, The Merrier

A Rift in Time brings an entourage of new villagers to populate both Eternity Isle and your original Valley. More are set to arrive down the line, but out of the gate, we have a diverse bunch on offer. WALL-E's futuristic squeeze EVE is one of the first to encounter you, having acted as a guardian of the Hourglass for years.

Once you earn her trust and penetrate deeper into the island's other biomes, you'll meet Rapunzel, who's all too keen to break free of her tower, and Gaston, who... is a bit out of his depth stranded in the desert. No one suffers from dehydration like Gaston! This is all without mentioning the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington, or Mickey's predecessor Oswald, locked in 1920s grayscale and silent gestures until you literally 'shatter' the communication barrier.

12 A New Storyl𒉰ine

Oswald Versus Jafar Is The Standoff We Never Knew We Needed

A huge USP for the Eternity Isle expansion is its storyline. Whereas the base game's tale of unravelling the Forgetting has been concluded (and its villain now living comfortably amongst your populace), Jafar was out there the whole time, plotting and scheming to distort the flow of time.

You're given no choice but to go along with his blatant manipulations and machinations in pursuit of the 'original spark of imagination that created this land.' That's a not-particularly-subtle reference to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney's first cartoon creation before he was lost to Universal (and then traded back in 2010). Sure enough, Oswald is found deep in an ancient cavern, and the two of you team up to solve puzzles and thwart Jafar's meddling.

11 Batch Cooking ꦐ

Perfect The Pumpkin Puff Pipeline

Disney Dreamlight Valley Souffle Cooked

A feature that Dreamlight Valley players have long clamored for is the ability🎃 to batch cook. While your culinary ability in the game is limited only by the number of pieces of coal you own, it is nonetheless tedious to go through the animation of re-adding th💙e ingredients every time. A Rift in Time resolves this with a craftable gadget that enables you to batch cook.

Providing you have the necessary ingredients on hand and sufficient Mist energy to power it, this doohickey will bang out as many souffles or clam chowders in one fell swoop as your heart desires. Whether they're for scoffing yourself or destined for sale, it's never been easier to become a walking production line.

10 ꦍ New Critters 🍒

Their Schedules Still Frustrate, However

A new island means a bunch of new animals to stuff full of nosh, in the vain hope the RNG will be kind to you that day and allow you to befriend them. Easily the cutest are the band of capybaras, whose disinterested expressions and cuddly colours make them a treat to have arou෴nd. Tಞhey even play into a quest with Mirabel, in which her cousin Antonio wants photos of each one. Get ready to wake up at 6am for the red bugger!

There are also cobras in the wastes, and monkeys in Ancient's Landing — who may not be as cute, but their feeding patterns require you to play little minigames, which adds variety. Plus, when Oswald's freed, Jafar tears open sepia-toned rifts in time, transforming a handful of the critters into black-and-white variants to further bolster your collection. Who knew Jafar had FOMO?

9 Ancient Machines ⭕

Revolutionize Agriculture!

Dreamlight Valley Carrot Farming

Cooking isn't the only resource-intensive process you can automate on Eternity Isle, however. Despite a chunkier Mist and material investment, the Ancient Machines are well worth creating one or two of. Why? Well, stick one next to a patch of newly planted crops and watch the magic happen.

At select intervals, they'll water your fruits and veggies, saving you the hassle of doing it by hand. The higher-tier Ancient Machines even pack in a vacuum functionality, which can pick the crops for you and hoover up any loose forageable items in the biome you erect it in. Berries, sticks, seaweed — nothing can escape its clutches, making life far easier for you.

8 Scramblecoin ♓

Strategy Is Money

A notable omission in the game was any kind of activity to engage in with your townsfolk. Sure, they can hang out with you and chat (a grand total of once per day), but beyond that, once they hit max friendship, there's little incentive for you to entertain them. Scramblecoin fixes that right up, introducing a compelling board game that every resident of your Valley will be more than happy to challenge you at.

The goal of Scramblecoin is simple: you scramble to collect coins, as the name perhaps implies. Each of your game pieces represents a famous Disney character and has different movement capabilities. Whoever has the most coins after five turns is the winner. The AI can be devious and matches imb🍌alanced, but it manages to be engrossing all the same.

7 Breaking Down Crafting Materials 𓆏

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

A recurrent annoyance within Dreamlight Valley is having an excess of certain crafting materials and not enough of the rarer ones. For instance, it's likely, if not guaranteed, you'll be laden down with stacks of useless rock and coal, all while gazing longingly at that recipe requiring 200 gemstones. Act 2 of Eternity Isle brings 'Upcycling' and 'Dismantling' functionality to the workbench, in an attempt to mitigate this.

Through the Dismantle menu, any surplus Ancient Parts, Fragments, Gifts, or Ancient Cores (which are a dime a dozen on Eternity Isle) can be converted into currency that can be used in place of missing ingredients by hitting Upcycle. All of a sudden, King Triton's throne, Isabela's hanging floral bed, or Oswald's trolley network don't seem a million miles (and a million hours of grinding) away.

6 New Recipes ꦑ

A Cavalcade Of Culinary Concoctions

Dreamlight Valley certainly wasn't hurting for recipes — the base game has almost 200 — but evidently, some corners of the comestible world were left untapped as far as Gameloft was concerned. Eternity Isle bolsters the recipe roster well past the 300 mark, introducing edible delights derived from both Disney flicks and real-world cultures.

Julieta Madrigal's arepas con queso, Luca's linguine with pesto, and Tiana's bayou gumbo are among the new movie-inspired dishes. You can also whip up carpaccio, mac and cheese, and ajiaco. Who's hungry?

5 𓃲 Revised Collection Menu ♔

Check Your Stuff With Ease

It's no secret that the game's UI was, shall we say, a bit rough in its early days. Menus took an age to load, and the Collection tab in particular — which details basically everything essential about your town, from crop growing times, to critters there that day, to what favorite gifts your townsfolk favor — was messy. Woe betide anyone who wanted to check their list of clothing or furniture.

The update revises the Collection tab in its entirety. Now, it's subdivided by area — either the mainland Valley or Eternity Isle — and categorized more broadly. Characters, wildlife, recipes, and more are clearly designated and don't require you to scroll through a bunch of other slow-loading tabs to see them. Major props!

4 💜 Villager Selecꦅt

Boot Out Those Who Bother You!

disney dreamlight valley map

Yet another common feature of life simulation games that was MIA in Dreamlight Valley was the ability to pick and choose precisely who gets to dwell in your perfect, manicured town. That power of deportation has now made its way to the Valley, and it couldn't be simpler.

Sick to the back teeth, for instance, of Mother Gothel's passive aggression? Just head over to the map menu and deselect her from the resident list. That way, she won't spawn ever again unless she's needed for a quest. There are separate censuses, if you will, for the main Valley and Eternity Isle, so feel free to mix and match where each character is permitted to visit.
