As you level your sorcerer up in Diablo 4, you will gain access to a section of the skill treeꦬ that contains six unique skills, called Key Passives. These are incredibly strong status effects that will buff the power of specific builds and only activate when you reach certain parameters.
However, you will only be able to have one of these Key Passives equipped at a given time, meaning you should familiarize yourself with which one of these OP abilities will best benefit your specific build. If you don't want to spend the extra gold learning a new Key Passive, check out the list.
6 Shatter
- After Freeze expires, enemies explode for 25 percent of the damage you dealt to them while Frozen.
Shatter is the perfect choice for ice mages that like to front load a massive amount of damage, all while keeping their168澳洲幸运5开奖网: opponents completely immobile. With this skill, a quarter of the damage you deal to frozen oppon💃ents will be instantly dealt to them as th🔯ey break out of the freeze status effect.
For this🔯 Key Passive to truly sh𝔍ine, you should fully upgrade your frost abilities since only these specific skills can freeze whomever you are facing. Sadly, since this damage hinges on a specific status effect and since some larger enemies can not be frozen, this Key Passive falls short of other passives on this list.
5 C꧃ombustion ♔
- Your Burning effects deal 2 percent increased damage per unique source of Burning you have applied to the enemy. lf the enemy is Burning from three or more sources, this bonus is doubled.
Combustion is almost like a fiery version of the Shatter Key Passive. With this ability, all of your burning effects deal increased damage, and the damage multiplier actually stacks when there are different sources of burn on one ene༒my. Furthermore, if there are more than three sources of burning at once, then the damage bonus is doubled overall.
To get the most out of this Key Passive, you'll want to constantly be throwing out fire spells that have the chance of applying the burning status effect. Since this passive is completely useless without actually applying burns, you'll also want to upgrade your mana, so you can constantly dish out a steady stream of fire.
4 O🅠verflowing Energy
- Crackling Energy hits one additional enemy. Each time Crackling Energy hits an enemy, your Shock Skill cooldowns are reduced by 0.1 seconds, increased to 0.25 seconds against Elites.
Overflowing Energy is an interesting Ke🍒y Passive, as it is the only ability on this list that actually reduces the cooldowns of your other skills. Specifically, this passive ability makes Crackling Energy, an electric status effect that occasionally sends out chain lightning, bounce to one more additional opponent.
Clearly, mages that have an electricity-centered build will benefit the most from this passive since you constantly create the chance to deal large amounts of AOE damage. Furthermore, every time crackling energy bounces to an enemy, your shock skill cooldowns will come back slightly quicker, allowing you to deal even♕ more damage.
3 Esu's Ferocity
- Your Fire Critical Strike Damage is increased by 25 percent against enemies above 50 percent Life. Your Fire Critical Strike Chance is increased by 5 percent against enemies below 50 percent Life. Killing an enemy with a Critical Strike grants both bonuses against all enemies for three seconds.
While the other fire-related Key Passive required a specific status effect to activate, Esu's Ferocity is best utilized whenever you cast a fire skill. Specifically, this Key Passive gives you two distinctive buffs, either increasing your critical strike damage or chance with fire attacks.
Furthermore, if you can successfully kill an enemy with a critical strike, you will earn both of these status effects simultaneously for three seconds. Since this Key Passive requires both fire and critical strikes to become fruitful, you should correctly upgrade these two areas if you want to decimate y🌼our opponents with a field of fire.
2 Avalanche
- Lucky Hit: Your Frost Skills have up to a 10 percent chance to make your next cast of Ice Shards, Frozen Orb, or Blizzard consume no Mana and deal 40 percent increased damage. Chance is doubled against Vulnerable enemies.
Avalanche is the other Key Passive on this list that interacts with frost skills and is best paired with an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ice shard build, as you'll constantly get the chance to buff your damage and conserve valuable mana. Specifically, this ability gives you a small chance to make your next frost skill consume no mana and deal 40 percent increased damage.
While the 10 percent chance for this Key Passive to activate may seem small, remember that this chance is doubled against vulnerable enemies. Furthermore, since abilities such as Blizzard strike🍸 enemies many times, you will get multiple chances to trigger this Key Passive when using jusಌt a single ability.
Ultimately, this Key Passive is incredibly vital in any frost-related build since it will significantly buff your overall damage while also helping you to conserve resources dꦕuring a difficult battle.
1 Vyr's Mastery
- Close enemies take 10 percent increased damage from your Shock Skills and deal 20 percent less damage to you. Critical Strikes increase these bonuses by 25 percent for three seconds.
If you are a sorcerer that enjoys getting up close and personal with your enemies, then Vyr's Mastery is truly the only Key Passive you should choose. This ability makes you take less damage from close-range enemies while also dealing 10 percent bonus damage at the same range.
Furthermore, critical strikes increase both of these bonuses to 25 percent for up to three seconds. If you are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:playing the game by yourself, you may notice that you are constantly swarmed with melee enemies. To rectify t꧒his problem, simply equip this Key Passive, and you will have no problem staying alive longer and dishing out increased damage.
H🐽owever, keep in mind that these bonuses only apply to shock skills, so sorcerers that upgraded other forms of magic will not benefit from this buff.
