How To Unlock The Cathedral Of Light Dungeon

The Cathedral of Light dungeon is unlocked upon beating the Diablo 4 campaign. You will then be directed t🐟o complete a short quest that introduces the Tree of Whispers vendor. Complete ten Grim Favors f🌃or the tree, and it will tell you where you can find the Cathedral of Light dungeon.
You'll find the dungeon in Kyovashad, located inside the cathedral on the northern end of town. You must beat this dungeon on World Tier 2 to unlock the next World Tier, so be sure you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网ꦑ:set your difficulty before starting this. You can do so atဣ the Inarius statue just outside the cathedral.
Reach The High Council
You'll start this dungeon with the objective to collect Animus from slain Revenant Knights. These are Elite mobs that roam the halls of the cathedral, marked with skulls on your minimap. Each knight is accompanied by a small group of minions. Since this tileset is quite small and features many hallways, it's a good idea to lure enemies into a tight space before using all of your AoE abilities. Stuns and other crowd control effects works well here.
Slain Elites will drop three mists of energy on the ground. This is the Animus you're looking for. Grab all clusters of Animus they drop, and proceed to clear all the Revenant Knights until the objective is complete. Continue moving upward through the dungeon to find the High Council.
High Council Boss Fight
The High ⭕Council consists of four enemies that will all attack you simultaneously. Those enemies include:
- Sacred Physician: A priest that casts AoE attacks and buffs the other High Council members.
- Grand Inquisitor: A spellcaster that fights at range.
- Lord Commander: A Revenant Knight with above-average HP.
- Devoted Champion: A pike-wielding knight that will charge at you.
Each enemy behaves identically to their non-boss counterparts you just fought on your way to the boss arena. While you're fighting four enemies at once, they're incredibly easy to stun. If you have any form of crowd control in your build, you can focus on a single enemy and easily break 𓂃their stagger meter, letting you dish 🍒out some major damage.
Focus on the Sacred Physician first, as this enemy sends out rather massive AoE attacks. They'll tend to separate themselves from the other three High Council bosses. Get near them, find a way to stun them, and let out as many attacks as you can. The other bosses can be fought in any order you choose. Kill all four bosses to open the exit portal.
Defeat The Curator
You'll need to clear one more dungeon before you've beaten the Cathedral of Light. The underbelly of the cathedral must be purged before you can face the Curator boss. Kill every enemy in the dungeon to unlock the boss arena. Hordes of enemi💧es ꦫwill occasionally spawn atop of you; have some crowd control ability or ultimate at the ready for when this happens.
The Curator is a variant of the Lich boss seen in other dungeons. This Lich wields a scythe and is far more aggressive,𓆉 releasing homing projectiles with every attack. Ranged builds will want to keep their distance, and melee builds will want some form of damage resistance.
There are five unique attacks the Curato♋r can perform:
- Area Slash: Releases five waves of energy, dealing heavy damage.
- Area Slash Combo: The boss will disappear then perform the Area Slash attack three times.
- Spirit Domes: Creates small domes of energy that home towards you. If caught inside, you'll be suppressed.
- Spawning Minions: The Curator will spawn a small army of minions near them.
- Bone Wall (Phase 2 and 3): The Curator will spawn multiple bone walls in the arena. The boss will eventually channel energy into these bones, causing them to explode.
Each melee attack performed by this boss will also create homing skull projectiles, dealing minor damage on contact. In general, you'll want to have a movement skill or some form of DR to avoid dying to the area slash attacks. When you lower the Curator's HP, it will start spawning bone walls that are rigged to explode. Either destroy a bone wall or stay close to the center before they detonate.
While this fight can get quite hectic, the boss is quite easy to stun. Similar to the High Council fight, you can stun the boss to open a damage phase for yourself. Just be sure you have a dodge or movement skill ready, as the boss will typically perform the area slash combo right after they recover. Keep you✨r distance, destroy bone walls when they spawn, and you should be able to slay the Curator with some practice. Defeating this boss will complete the Cathedral of Light dungeon and unlock World Tier 3.
