The Deep Dive activity in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny 2's Season 🍨of the Deep features a hidden Exotic quest for players to uncover. Similar to the Whisper and Outbreak missions from years past, this mission requires your fireteam to beat a short series of bosses under a strict time limit.
If successful, you'll earn the Wicked Implement Scout Rifle. This Stasis Exotic is a great way to inflict slow and spawn Stasis Shards for all characters. This guide will showcase how to start this quest, how to activate the hidden mission in Deep Dive, and we'll quickly go over how Wicked Implement's Exotic perk works.
Updated July 11, 2023, by Charles Burgar: Wicked Implement's Exotic Catalyst is now available from Deep Dive. We've updated this guide to include its Catalyst unlock requirement, and we explain how the weapon's Catalyst behaves once unlocked.
Starting The Wicked Implement Quest
Unlike most seasonal Exotics, Wicked Implement's quest is entirely secret and not displayed in your Quests tab. To start the secret quest, you must 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:catch three Exotic fish from fishing ponds. You can fin♉d t🐓he fish in the following destinations:
Fish |
Destination |
Aeonian Alpha-Betta |
EDZ |
Kheprian Axehead |
EDZ |
Whispering Mothcarp |
Savathun's Throne World |
Vexing Placoderm |
Nessus |
Catching and depositing any of these fish into the H.E.L.M.'s aquarium will grant a Broken Blade. You can view your acquired blades by inspecting the Tackle Box in your inventory menu. Three blades are required before you can start the hidden mission. Groups only need three blades across the entire party to start the mission. This means that you technically don't have to fish at all if your team already has three blades.

Starting The Whetstone Exotic Mission
This mission takes place in the Deep Dive activity. We strongly suggest you play without matchmaking, as this mission is incredibly difficult and requires well-coordinated loadouts to beat. If you need to get a firetea🃏m together before starting, use the or the Bungie.net forums to find like-minded players.
Your team's goal is to activate three Hive altars hidden throughout the level. These are hidden between the first two Deep Dive encounters and must all be activated to open the Exotic mission's hidden entrance. Once you find an altar, walk up and interact with it. This will present your Broken Blade as✨ an offering, triggering dialogue from Xivu Arath if done correctly. The number of Broken Blades you own determines how many altars you can interact with.
Exact altar locations can be found below.
You do not have to ඣcomplete any Pressure Trials to start the Exoti🤡c mission.
Altar #1: First Descent (Before First Encounter)
The first altar is located at the beginning of the Deep Dive. After you descend the rig into the ocean floor, you'll find a narrow passage that forks in two directions. Follow the right path and look for a hole in the floor. The altar will be hiding next to a pressure bubble.
Altar #2: Hidden Room (In First Encounter Arena)
After completing the first encounter, make your way inside the building to the left of the exit. Inside will be an alt🍷ar.
Altar #3: Second Descent (Before Second Encounter)
During the descent to the second encounter, follow the path as normal until you reach a narrow ledge with a pressure bubble (showcased above). It's the last drop you take before reaching the exit. Instead of jumping down, walk along the narrow ledge to your left. The end of the ledge is where you'll find the altar.
Exotic Mission Entrance
Activating all three altars and beating the second Deep Dive encounter will reveal a hidden entrance. After beating the second encounter, a waypoint on your HUD will direct you to a different exit. Head to this waypoint and interact with the altars inside. This will drop the forcefield blocking the adjacent underwater section, allowing you to start the hidden mission. Now is a good time to adjust your loadouts before you progress any further. Once the mission starts, there's no turning back.

Whetstone Exotic Mission Walkthrough
The start of this mission is a short trek through two underwater sections, both of which are not timed. After you get through the first underwater section, you'll need to kill a small group of Taken enemies to proceed, nothing particularly dangerous. Use your Primary weapons to take care of them.
After the second underwater section, you'll enter a fairly cramped room that's guarded by Khull, Executioner Knight. This Taken Knight is impervious to incoming damage. You'll need to weaken the boss by defeating Taken Minotaurs. Each one you kill will grant a stack of Deathly Sharp. At three stacks, the boss will become vulnerable for 75 seconds. Kill three of the Minotaurs to start the DPS phase. You only need to remove a small chunk of Khull's HP for it to retreat.
A nearby Pyramid entryway will reveal itself once Khull retreats. Stock up on ammo and adjust your loadout now. Once you start the next encounter, a timer will begin. If you cannot beat the mission before 💮the timer exp𒐪ires, you will fail the mission and be sent to orbit.
Defeat Khull, Executioner Knight
Extinguish Timer
You have 10 minutes to complete the mission starting from this encounter. If your fireteam wipes or the timer expires, you will be sent to orbit. You'll need to restart the Deep Dive activity and activate all three altars to try again.
Slide under the wall to start the encounter. A series of Taken enemies will spawn beside a floating Darkness shard. Shoot the shard and eliminate the Taken. This will remove the forcefield that's blocking the next room. Clear out the adjacent room and look for another Darkness Shard under the stairs. Damage this shard and run up the stairs to reach the boss arena.
Khull will spawn right after you enter, followed by a small army of Taken shortly thereafter. You'll need to kill three Taken Minotaurs to start the DPS phase, two of which are located behind forcefields on opposite ends of the room. You can remove the forcefield by shooting the floating Darkness shard near the center of the arena. Beware that each side has a small group of ad𒀰ds accompanying the Minotaur. You might want to use an ability or a dedicated add-clearing Exotic to take care of them.
Before killing all three Minotaurs, try to clear out the adds. The most important enemies are the Hobgoblins that are stationed in two corners of the arena. Snipe them before clearing out the Acolytes. A good Exotic Primary 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:or Machine Gun should make this fairly easy. When ready, kill the final Minotaur to gain maximum Deathly Sharp stacks. You'll have 75 seconds to kill the boss. Use your Super, Heavy weapons, and all of your abilities to melt Khull's health bar. The adds do not despawn when Khull dies, so you'll need to clear the arena before proceeding.
Brutalize The Tormentor
A Rally Banner may be used before enteไring the maze.ღ This is a good time to swap your weapons or subclass.
The next section takes place in a dark maze that's protected by Omen, Blade of the Black Terrace. This is a Tormentor boss that is unaffected by crowd control effects—Suspend, Blind, Freeze, and Suppression. It features the same moveset as the Tormentors featured in the Lightfall campaign 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and Root of Nightmares raid, including a deadly grab attack that will one-shot you under most circumstances. Do not let the boss grab you.
Entering the maze will start the encounter, spawning the boss directly in front of you. Look for walls you can slide under. This will confuse the Tormentor and give you time to navigate the maze. As before, your goal is to kill three Taken Minotaurs to start the DPS phase. The Minotaurs tend to spawn in the corners of the maze. You'll want to split your team up to cover each side of the maze, checking the left and right sides for any roaming Minotaurs. If you're playing solo, start with one corner and rotate clockwise until you've found all three Minotaurs.
Solo DPS Strategy
Solo players should fight the Tormentor near the entrance of the maze. Omen's AI is tethered to the central section of the maze and will retreat if you slide under a nearby wall. Use a precision weapon to damage its chest, slide under the wall to force Omen to retreat, then slide under the wall again to get its attention. Rinse and repeat until the DPS phase ends.
When you gain x3 Deathly Edge, the Tormentor will retreat to the center of the maze, protected by a small army of Taken Psions and Phalanxes. Your team has 75 seconds to deal as much damage to the Tormentor as possible. Tormentors receive significantly less damage from abilities and body shot damage, but they take substantially more damage to their chest weak point. Precision weapons work best here. When your Deathly Edge stacks fade, run back into the maze and kill three more Minotaurs to start another DPS phase. Repeat as needed until you've slain Omen, completing the mission.

Wicked Implement Perks
Wicked Implement is a Stasis 180 RPM Scout Rifle that resides in the Kinetic slot. The Exotic perk, Creeping Attrition, causes this weapon to load slow-inflicting rounds upon landing five precision hits. These hits don't have to be on the same target to trigger the perk.
If you land a precision kill while Creeping Attrition is active, you'll activate Tithing Harvest, creating a Stasis Shard at the target's corpse. Additionally, picking up any Stasis Shards will reload the weapon. This makes Wicked Implement a solid weapon for Stasis builds and the only alternative to spawning Stasis Shards currently.
How To Obtain Wicked Implement's Exotic Catalyst
Wicked Implement's Exotic Catalyst can be obtained from T7 reward chests in Deep Dive. The final reward chest wil💝l increase in reward tier as you complete encounters🌊 and optional Pressure Trials. These trials can be initiated by interacting with hidden Toland orbs in each encounter. Each member of your fireteam will need to activate them to start the Pressure Trial. We highly recommend doing this solo or with a premade fireteam to ensure each Pressure Trial is activated.
The Catalyst itself grants a new perk to Wicked Implement, gradually refilling the magazine with every Stasis Shard collected. This works similarly to Overflow, granting up to a 30-round magazine at m🍌aximum stacks.
