168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny 2 has experimented with roguelite elements through Lightfall. The Deep Dive activity in Season of the Deep introduced randomized buffs that players could use to empower their builds. Season of the Witch pushes this even further with the Deck of Whispers, a new progression system that lets players curate the randomized buffs they'll receive in Season of the Witch activities.

What Is The Deck Of Whispers?
The Deck of Whispers is a collection of Arcana Whisper Cards obtained during Season of the Witch. These cards are drawn at random 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:while playing the Savathun's Spire or Altars of Summoning activities, buffing your character with build-enabling passives such as scorching rounds for your Solar weapons or an escalating chance to spawn Heavy ammo by defeating enemies. Think of the cards as Artifact perks you can use in Season of the Witch content that stacks with everything else your build is doing. They're a potent buildcrafting tool and essential to surviving the toughest encounters in the Altars of Summoning.
Creating a deck can be done in the Athenaeum, the southern wing of the H.E.L.M. Make your way to the Lectern of Divination to view all of your owned cards. By default, most of the cards in the Lectern will be marked as opaque and won't list any effects. You'll need to find cards and unveil them at the Lectern to expand your Deck of Whispers. The more cards you own, the more options you'll have for making a deck.
Finding And Unveiling Cards
Before you can create a deck, you'll need cards. Whisper Cards may be obtained by completing any activity in Destiny 2, with Season of the Witch activities having the highest drop chance. Witch's Keys guarantee at least one Opaque Card will drop from Season of the Witch reward chests, provided you've obtained "The Sisters" Whisper Card. This is the first card you'll receive after completing the introductory quest of this season.
When you first acquire a new card, it will be labeled as an Opaque Card. All Opaque Cards must be unveiled at the Lectern of Divination in the H.E.L.M. Selecting the card will reveal the card's properties. There are two types of cards:
-
Major Arcana: Always unlocks a new card. Sometimes unlocks a seasonal bonus.
- These cards are also locked behind a short quest.
-
Minor Arcana: Unlocks a seasonal bonus.
- No quest is tied to Minor Arcana Cards.
Major Arcana Cards are how you'll expand your Deck of Whispers, unlocking new cards for you to use in Savathun's Spire and the Altars of Summoning. Every Major Arcana Card you find will also have a short quest tied to it, requiring you to finish the listed quest objectives before you can use the card. These quests can be found under the "Quests" tab of the Director. You will typically earn Major Arcana Cards from the seasonal questline.
Minor Arcana Cards offer seasonal progression bonuses, similar to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Season of the Deep's challenge system or the 3x7 upgrade grid used by most Destiny 2 seasons. These bonuses range from guaranteed chest rewards to weekly Deepsight focusing options. Minor Arcana will not unlock cards usable in the Deck of Whispers. These cards are typically earned by completing activities or finding hidden cards within Savathun's Spire.

Creating A Deck
The Deck of Whispers may be configured from the Athenaeum region of the H.E.L.M. You must own at least five Major Arcana Cards to create a deck, and a deck may♚ not exceed 12 cards. The Lectern of Divination wil🎶l list every card you currently own.
Managing your deck can be done from pedestals that line the circular room. Each pedestal will house a card you currently have in your deck, revealing the card's name and effects when you walk near it. Interacting with the card will add or remove it from your deck. If there is a flame under the card's pedestal, it's in your deck. You can change out your deck at any time from the H.E.L.M.; there's no limit to how many times you can add or remove cards.
Similar to most trading card games, a deck's size can play a significant role during gameplay. Smaller decks won't have as many buffs, but you'll receive the same cards more often. For example, if you have five cards and want to draw The Blades as often as possible, you'll have a 20% chance of drawing that card. If your deck had ten cards, that chance would drop to 10%. Smaller decks are generally recommended, although larger decks can be useful if you frequently switch builds. Card buffs seem to reset after every combat encounter in Season of the Witch content, so a larger deck doesn't offer more power for Altars of Summoning endurance runs.
Drawing Cards In Seasonal Activities
Using the Deck of Whispers is much easier than one might expect. During any Savathun's Spire or Altars of Summoning run, your Deck of Whispers will automatically draw a card at the start of every combat encounter. The card you draw will be listed at the bottom-left of your HUD. Each player draws a card before the encounter begins, and that card is shared with everyone. If all three players draw from their deck and get different buffs, you'll benefit from three unique buffs for that combat encounter, not just your own card.
Redrawing Cards
The "Whispers of Power" upgrade allows you to draw a new card from your deck before the start of an encounter. Interact with the card pedestal to dr🔴aw a new card from your deck. You may only do so a select number of times per activity, determined by your Minor Arcana upgrades.
Unfortunately, these buffs don't last forever. Mystic Cards are reset at the end of the combat encounter; you don't get to keep these buffs for the entire mission. That same card can be drawn again for future encounters, but it won't persist for the entire mission as Ahsa's buffs do in Deep Dive. This is why it's a good idea to use a small deck to ensure that your strongest card buffs are more likely to be chosen.
All Whisper Cards
Season of the Witch has 55 Whisper Cards to find, 12 of which can be drawn during Savathun's Spire or Altars of Summoning. Every Whisper Card can be found below.
