The Nine remains a mysterious force in . Ever since the Witness' downfall, they have started to become a more prominent force in the game's plotline. With Rite🧸 of the Nine, they are actively inviting Guardians to play their games. It isn't a proper gameshow in this case, but there are plenty of rewards to earn nonetheless.

Rite of the Nine has updated three of Destiny 2's dungeons with new mechanics and rewards, including a limited-time title and some powerful reprised weapons. Today, we'll be covering♚ ไwhat Rite of the Nine is, give a brief overview of the dungeon difficulty changes, and explain how you can start the event.

What Is Rite Of The Nine?

Rite of the Nine is a dungeon-themed PvE event that runs from May 6 to July 15, the launch of The Edge of Fate expansion. The Emissary of the Nine has issued a challenge to𒀰 all Guardians: best the Nine's chosen dungeons, an🅠d you'll walk away with new spoils.

This event has updated 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ghosts of the Deep, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spire of the Watcher, and Prophecy with difficulty options, refreshed weapon perk pools, and e൩ncounter updates that should prove challenging to even experienced dungeon farmers. Similar to Into the Light, the entire event will run through a hub called the Rite of the Nine. Visit this area in Eternity to pick up the event quest and get started.

Dungeon Difficulties

The largest addition in Rite of๊ the Nine is the inclusion of dungeon difficulty tiers. Instead of the usual Normal and Master variants, the Nine-themed dungeon upd🍬ate has replaced these options with three new elective difficulty modes, each tailored for a certain skill level.

Explorer is tailored for newer players who have never set foot in a dungeon before. This difficulty has weaker enemies, fireteam matchmaking, and in-game tooltips that explain how to complete each encounter. This is a great way to try out dungeons if you're new to Destiny 2's endga🦩me and grab some strong weapons along the way.

Eternity is how dungeons are normally experienced. Matchmaking is disabled and no tooltips are present to help with encounters. Rewards are standard for the dungeon you're playing. It's a good difficulty to recalculate yourself with each dungeon or for farming 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nonary Manifolds, this event's main currency.

Ultimatum is where you can earn adept weapons, stronger variants of pre-existing dungeon guns. This difficulty is tuned similarly to Grandmas🍎ter Nightfalls, featuring a -20 Power limit and significantly more modifiers. Some encounters also receive some added restrictions๊, including time limits and additional wipe mechanics.

Notswap

On Ultimat🍸um difficulty, your firꦛeteam will be debuffed with Notswap. If you switch Exotics or different weapon archetypes during the encounter, you will lose all ability energy. Be wary if you switch between loadouts frequently.

Featured Dungeon Rotation

Rite of the Nine is structured to have its updated dungeons rotate on a bi-weekly basis. Whic♎hever dungeon is currently active is the only farmable one. For example, if Ghosts of the Deep becomes the active dungeon, yoꦫu won't be able to farm Spire of the Watcher or Prophecy until a later point in the event.

The first week a dungeon is active, you'll be able to focus weapons from that dungeon in the Rite of the Nine hub and farm that dungeon across all three difficulty tiers. When the second week rolls around, that dungeon will become favored by the Nine. Favored dungeons can drop dungeon weapons from slain enemies, not just encounter clears. Holofoils are more likely to drop, currency d𓂃rops are increased, and full clears of that dungeon will award extra drops.

Once the first six weeks are up, all three dungeons—Spire of the Watcher, Ghosts of the Deep, and Prophecy—will be farmable at any time; no rotations to worry about. However, one of those three dungeons will be tagged as favored throughout the week. For the tenth and final week of the event, all three dungeons will receive massive drop rates buffs through a week-long "lootapalooza" event. This will be your last chance to farm for any Rite of the Nine guns you want before Edge of Fate release👍s.

To recap, all threeཧ dungeons will be rotating on a bi-weekly basis during the first two months. Once all three dungeons have been out for two weeks, Bungie will make all three of them farmable at any time, buffing one dungeon with additional weapon drops that✱ will rotate each week. During the last week, every dungeon will have additional loot drops.

Rite Of The Nine Hub

The Emissary is located in The Rite of the Nine, a new hub area you can find under the Eternity tab of the Director map. Destiny 2 veterans will recognize this as the old Trials of the Nine reward hub. Walk up to the ⛎Emissary and speak with her to grab the event's starter quests, each asking you to clear an updated dungeon.

In the hub itself, you can interact with the chest near The Emissary to claim a Gift of the Nine. Thiওs is a loot cache that includes a full set of powerful gear at 2,010 Power, Izanagi's Burden, and the Aeon Swift Exotic. If you're a returning player, this effectively lets you bypass the vast majority of Destiny 2's Power grind.

The chest across from The Emissary allows you to pull random weapons from this event by spending Nonary Manifolds, a currency you'll earn by completing 𝓡dungeon encounters and bounties from The Emissary. You can earn adept loot through the chest as well.

Weapon Focusing

Surrounding the hub area is a ring of holographic weapons, each representing a gun you can earn during this event. Focusing a weapon in the Rite of the Nine hub will increase its drop chance to 50%, the same a💙s Into the Light's attunement system. This lasts until y𒈔ou focus another weapon.

Focused weapons may only drop from their respective dungeon and Rite of the Nine chest. For example, if you f𝓀ocus Wilderflight, it'll be more likely to drop in Spire of the Watcher and the Rit💙e of the Nine chest only; it won't start appearing in Ghosts of the Deep or Prophecy.

Earning Nonary Manifolds

Nonary Manifolds are a new type of currency introduced in Rite of the Nine. These can be redeemed at the Rite of the Nine hub chest for random dungeon drops. The chest accounts for whatever your current weapon focus is, so be sure to attune a weapon before you spend your manifolds. Purchasing a weapon costs 250 Nonary Manifolds.

As for getting this resource, you can acquire Nonary Manifolds from dungeon encounter completions and from Curios of the Nine you've collected up until this point. Anyone who's played throughout the season will likely have a few Curios of the Nine from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Seasonal Challenges and the recent Chess event. You can exchange these at The Emissary for a small stockpile of manifolds to kickstart the loot chase. Each Curio is worth 40 Nonary Manifolds.

Nonary Engrams

Staring in July, any spare Nonary Manifolds you own may be exchanged for Nonary Engrams at the Emissary. Each Engr𒐪am costs 350 Nonary Manifolds. These engrams may be decrypted into certain cosmetic-themed reward🧜s, including holochip glows and emotes from Crimson Days.

You may purchase up to 20 Nonary Engrams throughout the event.

During the final week of Rite of th♛e Nine, you'꧋ll receive a free Nonary Engram each day you log in. Swing by the Rite of the Nine hub and speak with the Emissary to pick one up.

Rite Of The Nine Rewards

Every major event in Destiny 2 comes with new loot to chase, and Rite of the Nine is no exception. Every weapon from Ghosts of the Deep, Spire of the Watcher, and most weapons from Prophecy have been reissued with new perks and the Gravity Well origin trait. Perk combinations on these weapons are quite strong and should serve you well in high-end PvE content. Beyond that, The Nine has also added a new title you can earn throughout the event: ETERNITY. Most of the Triumphs are currently hidden, so thiܫs title is time-gated. Unlocking the title will award you with the unique Astrograph shader, a slight recoloring of the now-unobtainable Honors of the Nine shader.
