This generation of video games has seen a radical shift towards updating games well beyond their launch. It's not uncommon tꦛo hear of a game that was released in a terrible state only to redeem itself years down the road.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Destiny: Every Game And DLC,꧒ Ranked 🌳
Destiny has a plethor♋a of content, and we've ranked every single game and DLC th🎶at they've brought us.
There is no greater example of this than 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Destiny 2. Considered by many as a complete failure at launch, Bungie has stuck with this game for nearly three years now with expansions and quarterly updates named seasons. While 💮not every season has been perfect, some of these seasons have had a fantastic impact on the game that can be felt to this day. Here is every Destiny 2 season ranked from worst to best.
Updated May 1, 2024, by Charles Burgar: Season of the Wish marks the end of the seasonal model for Destiny 2. There have been a whopping 23 seasons that have been released since Destiny 2's launch, some better than others. We've updated this list to include the final four seasons that were released during Lightfall: Defiance, Deep, Witch, and Wish. Many entries were also updated and reranked.
How We Rank Seasons
When we evaluate a season, we look at the con𝓰tent it added, general community sentiment, and consider any major events that occurred throughout that season—for example, 🍷the return of Trials in Season of the Worthy.
Seasons are ranked as they were. If a season received major changes after it ended (notably Season of the Forge), we will be excluding those changes in our ranking. Seasons that coincide with a DLC release will not have that DLC included in the ranking.

Season 2 of Destiny 2 was released alongside Curse of Osiris. This is one of the few times in Destiny 2's lifespan where a DLC removed content from the game.
Players that didn't purc⛎hase the DLC were locked out of Prestige Nightfalls and Prestige Leviathan for most of the season until Bungie released a patch reverting the Power level changes. As for the content released in the DLC, it was so poorly recꦗeived that some fans boycotted the game.
The Dawning event also occurred during this season, replacing normal engrams with Dawning variants that locked vanilla cosmetics away from players. Most Dawning cosmetics were locked behind Silver. Needle🌼ss to say, this was the lowest point in Destiny 2's lifespan.

Shadowkeep was released alongside Season of the Undying, the first season that would fit Bungie's new quarterly model. Players that purchased the expansion or the season by itself experienced the Vex Offensive, a matchmade activity where six Guardians complete a miniature Strike filled with dozens of 🧸Vex opponents.
Players enjoyed the Season Pass rewards and the Eriana's Vow Exotic, but the activity itself was nothing spectacular. ♏Season of the Undying is as generic as a season can get.

Season of the Hunt is one of the most barebones seasons in Destiny 2's lifespan, launchꦿing alongside the Beyond Light expan🌄sion. This season introduced Wrathborn Hunts, boss fights that start in a patrol space and lead towards an instanced mission. There were only six guns to chase, most of which were considered mediocre.
This wouldn't have been as big of an issue if Beyond Light hadn't introduced sunsetting, a system that set an Infusion cap to most of Destiny 2's weapons and armor. Paired with the expansion only releasing just over 20 weapons, it was clear that Ye👍ar 4 was off to a rough start.
Thankfully, Season of the Hunt stands above Destiny's worst seasons thanks to its evolving narrative and Harbinger mission. Players got to see the evolution of Uldren Sov as a Guardian, breaking his shackles from the Spider and becoming accepted by humanity as a new man. Paired with the excellent Harbinger mission, Season of the Hunt was able to partially redeem its gameplay shortcomings through its narrative. As far as gameplay is concerned, though, H𓃲unt was a low 🔯point for Destiny 2 as a whole.

If you're a Destiny veteran, this shouldn't come as a surprise. This season was a low point for community morale, featuring lackluster content releases and tone-deaf communication from Bungie. Some noteworthy controvꦡersies from this season include:
- 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Trials of Osiris: This mode was plagued with cheaters and poor loot incentives.
- Grandmaster Nightfalls: GMs had incredibly poor rewards when first released and were generally considered not worth doing.
- Bounty-Focused Seasonal Progression
- Rollbacks: This was the first time in franchise history that Bungie had to rollback player progress due to server issues.
- The announcement of content sunsetting.
Season of the Worthy was the lowest point of Destiny 2's lifespan since Curse of O💎siris. Many players felt fatigued with theꩵ reliance on bounties for seasonal content, and the lackluster Seventh Seraph weapons gave players little incentive to see this season through. It might have brought Warmind Cells to Destiny 2, but that wasn't enough to make up for Worthy's shortcomings.

The second season tied to the Annual Pass was Season of the Drifter. Players got to partake in a much faster iteration of Gambit named Gambit Prime, complete with armor sets to complement various roles. Players who didn't care ♏about Gambit could play Reckoning, a m♒atchmade activity that pits players against an onslaught of Taken.
Reckoning was deemed too repetitive and unrewarding by the PvE community, while PvP players 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:preferred to play Crucible. Gambit Prime made some great changes to the Gambit formula, speeding up matches greatly, yet it catered to such a niche audience that most players simply didn't play this season. Season of the Deep was a highly experimental season that🐬 ultimately didn't work out. The seasonal fatigue that started to set in during The Witch Queen hit a fever pitch. The weekly drip-fed narrative dragged its heels that really should have been part of Lightfall.
As an experimental, complementary piece of Lightfall's story, Deep was a complete failure. Any narrative revelations made here would only be experienced by diehard Destiny fans. Telling a disgruntled player to buy a season just to learn what Lightfall's narrative was about is completely tone-deaf. Even worse, seasonal content is sunset once a new expansion drops, so Lightfall's plot holes will still be there come Final Sh🎉ape.

Destiny🎉 2: Tips To Reach Wave 50 In Onslaught
Clear all𝓀 50 waves of Onslaught with these tips and tr꧂icks.
Further issues arise when playing the season itself. Bungie tried to mix up the repetitive structure with the inclusion of rogueli﷽ke buffs you can acquire between combat encounters, yet they are so minor t♊hat most players simply ignore them. Future seasons would use these roguelike systems to great effect, but not Deep.
Worse, the Deep Dive playlist became s൲ubdivided as the season progressed through optional difficulty scalars and the Whetstone Exotic mission. Each group you'd join would have different goals in mind, making public matchmaking virtually unusable. This activity was clearly made with Firꦇeteam Finder in mind, but since it didn't ship with Season 21, Deep Dive became more cumbersome to play as time went on. All in all, this experimental season was a failure on nearly every front.

As fa🍰r as seasons go, Season of the Plunder was aggressively mediocre. Players got to raid Fallen ships in a six-player matchmade activity called Ketchcrash, looting pirate-themed weapons and armor throughout the season. Players could also embark on th🃏ree-player Expedition runs for more deterministic drops.
It wasn't bad, but season fatigue really started to set in for more hardcore players. Yet another season with a 7x3 upgrade grid and poor Deepsight weapon drop rates was frustrating for many. The saving grace of this season was the return of King's Fall from the original Destiny, complete ♐with overhauled ꧃perks on its reprised weapons and intelligent encounter changes.
A community event also occurred near the end of this season, although it was completed in just ove💖r a day.
Overall, Season of the Plunder was an average Destiny 2 season. Formulaic activities and progression systems tested the patience of veterans, but the return of King's Fall and the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:excellent Arc 3.0 overhaul made Plunder much better than some of Destiny 2💮's lesser s⭕easons.

Technically speaking, the first season that occurred in Destiny 2 was when the game launched. Players were met with four planets to explore, the Red War campaign, as well as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Leviathan raid. Destiny 2 was the perfect onboarding experience for New Lights, which is exactly what the franchise needed after the rocky launch of the original Destiny. For the first few weeks, it was an exciting time for hardcওore fans and New Lights alike.
It didn't take long for players to chew through the game's content, however. A few weeks after Destiny 2 was released, fans were complaining that there was nothing to do. A lack of random rolls on gear and armor stats killed any endgame drive players were expecting. Many fans also criticized just how many cosmetic items were locked behind Ev🦄erverse.
Once players uncovered that Bungie was throttling experience gains to limit how many Bright Engrams players received every day, the gaming community at large deemed Destiny 2 to be a corporate cash grab. Rusted-on, passionate fans were left frustrated that so many innovations from Taken King and Rise of Irꦗon were completely abandoned in the sequel. This frustration would only grow with the Curse of Osiris DLC.

Season of Defiance launched alongside the L𒉰ightfall expansion, and it's arguably one of the game's more forgettable seasons. Guardians fight through sections of Earth to rescue captured civilians from Shadow Legion forces. No exposition is given to the Shadow Legion's plot or the Witness' plans, which made Lightfall's lackluster story sting all the more.
The season was nothing more than a loot refresh and a small expansion to Battlegrounds. There's not much to complain about in terms of content, but there's equally not much to praise either. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Vexcalibur was a solid mission, although it 🌌is inferior to past missions like Whisper and P🐠resage. It's a generic, forgettable Destiny 2 season.

For a season that launched with an expansion, Season of the Risen was quite good. It featured a solid three-player activity called🐓 PsiOps Battlegrounds, a Hive variant of Season of the Chosen's Battlegrounds activity. And if players got bored of that, they could dive into Vox Obscura, a time-limited Exotic mission that draws parallels to Presage and Zero Hour.
What made Risen ultimately a solid season was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Void 3.0, replacing all Void subclass trees with the Aspeꦏcts and Fragments system originally seen with Stasis. Players got a massive spike in power and build variety here, giving players that didn't own The Witch Queeꦿn a great reason to jump back in.
