The fight against the Roaring Knight is easily one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult one, in Deltarune. You will not end up with a game over screen if you are beaten by the Roaring Knight, so you can continue the story without beating it. That said, it's not entirely impossible to stand a fighting chance against this optional boss.

Items To Prepare For The Fight Against The Roaring Knight

The fight against this boss begins way before you meet it on the battlefield. It starts with you managing to keep your best resources stocked up before you head out to face it.

Throughout your journey, you will find healing items, equipment, and other restorative items that can be carried over from chapter to chapter. Try not to use up the most potent ones before coming to this battle. There are also items that you'll want to pick up along the way.

One essential item to ensure your survival in this fight is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Shadow Mantle. This is a piece of armor that can be unlocked when you finish all three levels of a mini-game available to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:S-Rank players of Tenna’s gameshow. This armor will increase your defense against Dark and Star type of attacks, ꦐwhich is useful specifically for the fight agai♒nst the Roaring Knight.

Since you want Susie to stay alive for the fight in order to maximize your damage, it’s recommended that she be given the Shadow Mantle.

Apart from that, you’ll also want to give your team the best gear. Invest in armor that grants defense since the biggest challenge in this fight is surviving the different attacks of the boss. Also, make sure Susie has the best weapon possible because she’ll need to deal as much damage as she can while she’s standing.

Tips For Beating The Roaring Knight

Its attacks are very punishing, so dodging them cleanly is something you need to be able to perform throughout the fight. While dodging, you should also aim to get enough TP so that Susie can dish out Rude Buster on her every turn. This move will be your priority throughout the entire battle. If you have items for increasing TP, use them when you can because the more Rude Buster attacks Susie can make, the sooner the fight will end.

If you find yourself having a hard time dodging the attacks, you can opt to have Kris and Ralsei Defend to increase TP gain. You can also use the Hold Breath ACT option to increase the speed of your soul and try to see if that will help you dodge the attacks more effectively.

As much as possible, you’ll want to assign the other party members besides Susie for healing and using items.

You might notice during the fight that Kris deals less damage compared to Susie and even Ralsei. If either of them SWOON, Kris will deal more damage. If both SWOON, Kris will deal even more damage. That said, Rude Buster is still the more reliable attack, so it’s better to have Susie up for the entirety of the fight.

Knife Dance	Knives will appear around you and will track y🅘our movement and will moment𒆙arily stop before slashing at you.	The same attack will occur but a set of knives will also be circling around you, limiting your moveme🎃nt.	Knives will no longer circle you, but they will appear around you much faster co꧃mpared to the first🌠 round.
Board Rend	The boss will slash the board in half and send shards that will fly at yo𓃲u and damage you.	The boss ✨will start to slice the board either horizont♒ally or vertically.	The boss will also include diag♔onal attacks in the next variation.
Blade Hallway	Two rows of blades will appear and you will need to weave in between them to survive. At the end, they will point at you and yoꦏu’ll need to stay in a black spot to dodge when they strike.	The rows of blades will go around in a circle.	The ꦚblades wi⛦ll appear similar to the first variation, but much faster.
Sanguine Slash	The boss will slice the board several times, with the sli𒉰ces increasing in number as the attack wears on.	The attack will immediately start with multiplꦯe slices.	The attack will start with 𒀰multiple slices and will end with the boss slicing the entire board several times in a circular motion.

Susie will be talking throughout the fight. When she says she’s done talking, the Roaring Knight’s next move will be a big one that engulfs the entire screen. It will absorb stars that will hurt you if you hit them, then it will spit them out in a radial blast, after which they will burst into multiple sharp pieces you’ll need to avoid.

If you survive that large attack, the enemy will let its guard down. At this point, you’ll only need to survive one more turn and deal one more Rude Buster. If your team’s health is low, invest in your turn here to heal up. After that, attack the boss once more. The goal is to have at least one team member remain standing at this point. After that, the fight will be over.

Unlike other fights, any downed teammates will not regain health each turn.

After defeating it, you will receive a Black Shard and a Shadow Crystal as a reward.
