Tunic Vs. Death's Door: Which Game Is Better?
There are quite a few similarities between Tunic and Death's Door, but when 𒀰comparing their differences, which comes out on🍨 top?
However, the Death's Door community has rallied behind it, along with the developers, and many have already tried to complete a run using only this pitiful weapon. If you are one of those people, here are some tips for beating the bosses and honestly just surviving the grueling time.
Updated on November 11, 2023, by William Quick: When Death's Door came out, many of us were floored by the cute art style, the gothic tone, and the combination of various gameplay styles. The most prominent being is that it's a Soulslike game and serves as an accessible title for those curious about the genre. It has some RPG mechanics to flesh things out, but the best equipment you can get for the hero are the Spells and Weapons... except for the Umbrella. This is a gag weapon that you can get at the start, put there to make the game even harder for yourself. Lo and behold, there is actually an achievement for beating the main story by only using the Umbrella as your main weapon. This can make it quite a frustrating challenge, but here are some ways to make it easier on yourself.
Where To Find The Umbrella
The Umbrella is actually easy to miss when initially playing the game. It is located up the stairs to the left of the main room in the Hall of Doors. Once you accept the assignment f🌜or𒁃 the Giant Soul, do not go to the door.
First, take those stairs, and sitting against a lamppost will be your companion for the rest of the game. For safety's sake, try not to even swing the sword before equipping the Umbrella.
13 Make Sure You Actu𒆙ally Initiate The Run 𒐪
Along with the community interest, there is an actual achievement in the game for beating the game having only used the Umbrella. To make sure you actually get the achievement, do not dꩲo anything to progress the story (except for initiating the bounty for the Giant Soul) before equipping the Umbrella.
If done correctly, when you first equip the Umbrella it will be outlined in red). Once 𝕴equipped, do not take it off for any reason or risk losing out on the achievement.
12 Grind For Strengt🔴h
Death's Door has a light RPG element that comes in using the souls you gather to boost one of four stats: Strength, Dexterity, Haste, and Magic. There's a way to make a very balanced character as you progress, but considering that the Umbrella will be holding you back, Strength should be one of your priorities.
Even with maximum strength, the Umbrella will never be as strong as the other available weapons, but this is a challenge where every little bit helps. Also, since you won't be splitting the souls as you would in regular runs, you'll have the opportunity to get a decent boost to damage after every huge cache of souls.
11 Master Boss Weaknesses ✃
In a sort of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend of Zelda fashion, each of the major dungeon bosses (except Betty) has a specific weakness connected to the Spell that you learn before you confront them. There are evꦰen achievements that hint at these weaknesses, and you should use them as often as you can.
When the Pot Witch tilts her pot opening towards you, hit her with the Fire Spell to deal extra damage and make her more vulnerable. With the Frog King, throw a Bomb into his gaping mouth when he tries to suck you in to interrupt and stun him. If you do this consistently for these bosses, you'll be able to wail on them with the Umbrella to your heart's content.
10 Avoid Getting Surro🐲unded
The most threatening points to your run in this game are the Arenas. While exploring, you'll encounter areas where you'll be trapped and forced to fight through waves of enemies to escape. If you fall at any time during the fight, you'll have to do it all over again, which can be an ordeal when you're stuck with the Umbrella.
The worst culprit is the Magic Chest that traps you in a dark arena where you need to defeat waves of powerful enemies. Always maneuver to get them on one side so that you can♉ easily trap them. If there are teleporting enemies, take them out first to minimize the chaos.
9 🎀 Look For Shortcuts 💧
Like with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:other Soulslike games a sign of progress and convenience is being able to unlock shortcuts. This can take the form of opening a gate, lowering a ladder, or activating an elevator. This game will naturally grant you shortcuts as you progress through the story, but those aren't the only way to cut down on time.
Unless an Arena has been activated, enemies are mostly optional, meaning that as long as you see the way forward, then you can run past them. They won't pursue you and this can be efficient in saving time, reducing the chances of making a mistake, and preserving health for the tougher fights, which are tough enough as you swing your Umbrella around.
8 Magic Is You🐟r Best Friend
Once in the game and looking to level up abilities with souls, forget about the strength stat. It will not help in the slightest as the main source of damage will be magic. Focus on leveling your ma꧒gic skill up as high as possible.

D♎eath’s Door: Where To Find All The Tablets Of Knowledge
Tablets of Knowledge are one of many things 🍰yoꦡu can find throughout your journey - here's where they are.
It is okay to farm enemies early on a💝s the soul cost for the first few levels is relatively low. The higher the skill, however, the more it will cost. Enemies do not drop numerous souls though, so it may take some time.
7 Dexterity Or Haste Is Your Second Beꦐst Friend
The next skill priority is up to personal preferen෴ce. The Umbrella is really a means to refill spell slots, not a means of doing damage🤪. Dexterity allows for quicker hits in a combo, whereas Haste will increase the dodge mechanic.
Both are extremely valuable in this type of run, but when tr🧸ying to min-max stats, it is always better to choose two and relyౠ on them.
6 Arrow Spell Is Surprisingly Useful Early Ga﷽♈me
Especially before acquiring the flame spell, arrows are going to be the only way to defeat both the Guardian of the Door and the smattering of mini bosses throuꦦghout the Estate of the Urn Witch.
Early on, it is best to develop a rhythm of shooting and then dodging to refill spell slots. These bosses are the best way to p🎃ractice that, as later on there will be even harder enemies to contend with.
5 Upgrade Your Spells Be꧅fore You Fight The Bosses
When running up against the bosses of Death's Door, expect to lose a few times. Something that can really help with them is upgrading spells before you fight the corresponding boss, especially the flame spell.

Every Boss In Death's Door And How To Defeat Them
There are a total of eight bosses in Death's Door. Here's who they are a𝔉nd how to defeat them.
The lasting burn effect on bo𒀰sses can be 🉐a great way to continuously deal damage against the Urn Witch while you are trying to recover the slots.
4 🗹 Prioritize Magic Crystals
If speed is something you're concerned about as well, consider prioritizing the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:magic shards over the health shards. The basic strategy for this type of run is keeping a distance and dodging attacks 🍌with speed, so high health is not a huge concern.
Of course, if speed is not an issue, make sure Jefferson is fresh out of secrets as much as possible. That also includes the seeds of life. Once comfortable with the playstyle, health shouldn't be a concern; until then, however, play as safe as possible.
