Please Don't Make The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Too Goofy

Dead Rising is known as a silly seriꦬes, but the game that started it all kept a mostly straight face that needs to be retained.

While most of the new items that have been added to Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster are overpowered books that give Frank a variet❀y of different buffs, the most interesting newcomer is one that actually has a lot of history in Dead Rising. No, I'm not talking about the Beam Gun - I mean the Rocket Launcher.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Finally Makes The Bazooka A Weapon

, the original 2006 version of the game has an unused model for a weapon titled "Bazooka", which is believed by some to be a placeholder for the Real Mega Buster. The Bazooka never makes an ꩲapꦕpearance in Dead Rising and can't be used by Frank, and purely exists as a model in the files.

That's not the case in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, though. , one of the only new weapons that have been added to Deluxe R💯emaster is the Rocket Launcher, which is clearly based on the bazooka that was in the game's files.

It's not a very common weapon, however. The Rocket Launcher can only be picked up (as far as I'm aware) from Special Forces members wielding it, which only happens in the final hours of the last day. That's not a very big window of time, a෴nd it only has three shots, so it's pretty rare you'll have one.

Sadly, the Beam Gun and other bits of cut content from Dead Risiꦬng haven't🤪 been added to the remake. It's not clear why the Rocket Launcher was chosen over everything else but it's a nice addition anyway.

Still, even if it isn't all that frequent, the Rocket Launcher is a nice nod to Dead Rising's history and gives the Special Forces a bit m෴ore of an impact when they arrive in Deluxe Remaster. Not that they really needed it, being the most difficult enemies in the whole game.
