🔜Dead Risinꦍg is one of my favourite games of all time, and Deluxe Remaster is undeniably the best, if easiest, way to play it.

And while it is considerably l𒅌ess tedious or frustrating, you will still find yourself struggling if you're not adequately prepared, especially in the early goings of the outbreak. Fortunately, there are ways to make the opening hours of your zombie-killing adventure much more manageable with just a few weapons and items!

The Mannequin Torso

After completing Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered's introduction, you will be in the Security Room, which serves as the Safe Room, where you will bring back stranded Survivors left in the mall. As soon as you exit the Security Room via the vent and head down the elevator, there will be Mannequins lying on the floor directly in front of the elevator.

Grab the Mannequin and start beating zombies down with them, destroying them in a single hit. After a while, the Mannequin will break into several parts. Pick up the Mannequin Torso to have a devastating weapon right off the rip. S🍌eriously, this thing kills just about anything🌊 in one hit.

Orange Juice

Paradise Plaza will be the first area you get to explore after the introduction and is where you will find all remaining items in this guide, with the first being one of the best healing items in the game th🎃at you will likely use throughou🐭t the rest of your playthrough.

Upon exiting the Warehouse that leads to the Security Room, take a right and head up the large staircase. From here, keep moving forward until you find Colombian Roastmasters, a small cantina on the second floor of the mall. Navigate over to the multi-deck fridge and grab some gallons of Orange Juice. They will keep you top𝕴ped up when thiꦍngs get rough!

The Katana

While you're at Colombian Roastmasters, peer over the railing next to the Orange Juice to find a Katana resting on the top of an orange awning. Leap over the railing and onto the awning 🌺to acquire one of the best weapons in the game.

This weapon will serve you well throughout the entire game, as it does excellent damage to Psychopaths and will carve through hoards of zombies with ease. And the good news is it will permanently spawn here, meaning when it breaks, you can just return here and acquire a new one!

The Submachine Gun

Speaking of powerful weapons in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, you can obtain the Submachine Gun exceptionally early, a weapon that is considered one of the game's best offerings. However, you will need to do some minor platforming to obtain it.

Head back to the steps you took to the second floor of Paradise Plaza and look to the right of them to find a blue awning beside it that is barely out of reach. From here, jump onto the railing of the steps, then leap onto the awning and follow it all the way to the end to find the Submachine Gun. Like the Katana, this is a permanent spawn for the SMG, meaning you can come back here and grab a new one after exhausting its ammo!

Camera 1 Book

Books are perhaps going to be the most underutilized item in the game, especially by newcomers, but you shouldn't sleep on them at all, as they offer exceptional buffs that will help you out tremendously, like the Camera 1 Book found in Contemporary Reading in Paradise Plaza.

Having this Book in your inventory will boost Prestige Points generated when taking Photos by 25 percent, making it an excellent item to have when first starting out, as it will help you level up much faster than usual, especially if you're going to be taking lots of photos of zombies, Stickers, Psychopaths, and more!

Horror Novel 2 Book

Up next is another Book. This time, however, it's found in Bachman's Bookporium in Paradise Plaza and is the Horror Novel 2 Book. It offers a 25 percent boost to Prestige Points when killing zombies, making it another crucial item to snag when starting your playthrough🦹.

It's no surprise you will be killing LOTS of zombies during your session, so having this in your inventory will give you a dramatic increase in Prestige Points (EXP), allowing you to level up substantially faster than you otherwise would have. Just remember that Books MUST be in your inventory if you want their effects!
