Whether it started out as a government experiment gone wrong, or came from outer space to terrorize the population of Greenville, none can say for sure. Investigating The Unknown can only end one way: badly. If you want to terrorize Survivors with this creepy Killer, here is what you need to know about playing The Unknown.

How Does The Unknown's Power Work?

The Unknown charges up its UVX Power through a tentacle.

Every Killer has a unique Power in Dead by Daylight, and The Unknown's Power is called UVX, which is a codename for Unknown Venom X. Between launching projectiles that can harm Survivors, and quickly moving around the map, UVX can be a very strong Power.

Special Ability: UVX Projectile

Press the attack button after charging up UVX to launch a bouncing UVX Projectile, which has a Blast Area upon impact.

  • Survivors become Hindered if touched by UVX while it's airborne.
  • Survivors touching the Blast Area become Weakened, and a Weakened Survivor loses a health state if they touch a Blast Area again.
  • Survivors can lose the Weakened status effect by staring at The Unknown.

Special Ability: Hallucinations

The Unknown will intermittently create several Hallucinations, which are decoys of The Unknown that will stand idle around the map.

  • You can teleport to Hallucinations and leave behind a temporary decoy.
  • Survivors can remove Hallucinations by completing the Dispel interaction. However, if a Survivor does not finish the Dispel, they become Weakened and are revealed by Killer Instinct.

Tips For Playing The Unknown

The Unknown is a unique and unsettling Killer, and if you use its Power to its full potential, you will e🐻asily sacrifice all Su🐎rvivors in a match.

  • Fake out Survivors by charging up your UVX without intending to use it, then go in for an attack.
  • Pallets are a great place to aim your UVX Projectile, especially when Survivors are trying to loop you around one.
    • Often, Survivors' line-of-sight may be blocked, and the area effect of the UVX Blast Area will hit Survivors.
  • You can bounce your UVX Projectile off objects. It might take some quick geometry skills, but you can catch a Survivor off guard if you time the bounce right.
  • When you're about to spawn a Hallucination, the edges of your screen will glow. Try to position yourself in a useful spot when it spawns. For example, move farther away from the current Hallucination you may have, in order to cover more ground with your available teleports.
    • Make sure to spend time in all areas of the map to make the most of your Hallucinations, too.

The Unknown has three Unique Perks that add to the total pool of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Killer perks you can use. The perks provide some versatility as you chase Survivors around, and help slow down the progress of Generator repairs.

Here are the three Unique Perks for The Unknown:

Unbound

Pain lingers in the air, an alluring aroma that excites the impulses.

When a Survivor becomes injured, Unbound activates for 24/27/30 seconds.

  • You get a five percent Haste status effect for 10 seconds after vaulting a window.

Undone

Hope is the delusion that keeps its victims alive.

When a Survivor fails a Skill Check while repairing or healing, Undone gai🦄ns three tokens, up to a maximum of 18/24/30 tokens.

Damaging a Generator consumes all tokens and applies the following effects:

  • Regresses the Generator one percent of its total progression per token consumed.
  • Blocks the Generator for one second per token consumed.
  • Causes the Generator to start regressing once it becomes unblocked.

Undone has a cooldown of 60 seconds.

Unforeseen

Terror takes many forms and whispers devastating lies in its victims' ears.

Damaging a Generator applies Unforeseen for 22/26/30 seconds:

  • Your Terror Radius transfers to the damaged Generator.
  • You gain the Undetectable status effect.

Best Builds And Perk Combos For The Unknown

The Unknown looks at the Hallucinations it can teleport to on the map.

As you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:level up and progress through t▨he Bloodweb, you'll unlock different perks for The Unknown, and you'll be able to upgrade the perks you have available. You can mix and match the perks you run, and there are some that even synergize well with The Unknown's Unique Perks.

These are strong Killer perks that you can always consider adding to your load-out:

  • Barbecue and Chili: When you hook a Survivor, other Survivors that are far enough away will have their aura revealed.
  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance: When you hook a Survivor on a Scourge Hook, the Generator with the most progress explodes and instantly regresses.
  • Sloppy Butcher: Survivors injured by basic attacks suffer from Hemorrhage and Mangled status effects, increasing their bleeding and slowing their healing.

To unlock the Adept Unknown achievement, you must kill all four Survivors in a Trial using only the Unknown's three Unique Perks.

Unbound Perk Combos

The perk icon for The Unknown's Unbound.

Unbound is a cheeky way to catch up to a Survivor that tries to loop you through a vault. Since you gain Haste after vaulting, you'll likely be able to easily catch up ♊in chase.

And, if you play your cards right by pairing Unbound with some information gathering perks, you'll know where to go find the Survivor tha🌱t's running away♉ from you.

These are some possible perks to combo with Unbound:

Hysteria

  • When you injure a Survivor, all injured Survivors suffer from the Oblivious status effect for a decent amount of time.

I'm All Ears

  • Survivors that rush a vault have their aura revealed to you for a short time.

Spies from the Shadows

  • When you are close enough to a Crow that was startled by a Survivor, you receive a noise notification at its location.

Undone Perk Combos

The perk icon for the Unknown's Undone.

Undone helps add to the array of perks that slow down Generator progress. Its usefulness all depends on Survivors failing skill checks, but it has the potential to regress and block Generators for a long period of time if you have the max amount of tokens stacked up.

Perks that can combo well with Undone will either help you stack tokens by making Skill Checks difficult (like Coulrophobia and Overcharge), or will make use of blocking the Generators and knowing when they are regressing (like Surveillance and Thrilling Tremors).

These are those perks you could run with Undone:

Coulrophobia

  • Survivors in your Terror Radius have reduced healing speed and the rotation of healing Skill Checks is faster.

Overcharge

  • When you damage a Generator, the next Survivor to repair it deals with a difficult Skill Check. If they fail, it instantly regresses the Generator's progression.

Surveillance

  • The auras of regressing Generators are highlighted in white, and if regression stops, the Generator will be highlighted yellow.
  • The audible range of Survivors repairing Generators is increased.

Thrilling Tremors

  • When you pick up a Survivor, all Generators not being repaired are blocked, and the auras of blocked Generators are revealed to you in white.

Unforseen Perk Combos

The perk icon for The Unknown's Unforseen.

Unforseen is a great perk that can fake out Survivors. Locking your Terror Radius on a Generator while you get to be Undetectable is an easy way to sneak up on unsuspecting Survivors. You can also win mind-games when Survivors don't have an accurate Terror Radius to listen to.

Unforseen pairs well with other perks that can affect your Terror Radius, letting you continuously confuse and sneak up on Survivors. Here are some perks you can combo with Unforseen:

Tinkerer

  • When a Generator is repaired to 70 percent, you see a loud noise notification, and you gain the Undetectable status effect for a short time.

Unnerving Presence

  • Survivors healing or repairing in your Terror Radius have increased Skill Check odds, and the success zone is decreased.
