Once you explore the water a bunch of times in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dave The Diver, you'll get used to the combat mechanics and learn where your bullets are going to land. Learning these mechanics will help you survive much longer against bigger enemies like Sharks, but they won't help you against most bosses in the game.
Almost every boss has a unique battlefield and a special mechanic that you need to understand if you want to defeat them. This is especially true for bosses like Phantom Jellyfish where you won't even have access to your weapons or Harpoon.
How To Find The Phantom Jellyfish
Phantom Jellyfish is not the boss that you'll be able to find at the start of the game since you're required to reach Chapter Six. In this chapter, you'll have to activate three switches to get to the control room, and each switch will have its own puzzle section that you'll have to get past. The puzzle𝔍 for the second🌜 switch starts a day after you find and save the Beluga.
On this day, you'll be able to use the whale to go against the currents and enter the area. As you go through the path, you'll eventually stumble upon a room where the Phantom Jellyfish will be found. It'll think that you're there to defeat it and will start attacking you soon after.
How To Defeat The Phantom Jellyfish
Since you're traveling on the Beluga's back throughout this section, you won't have access to your weapons or anything else in your inventory. The only thing you can use to deal damage to the giant boss is the head smash of the Beluga itself. The button to us♑e this mechanic wil𝄹l be shown on the bottom left of your screen.
Although, you can't simply smash any part of the boss to deal damage. When the fight starts, it'll spawn a bunch of brown Jellyfish that will slowly come to you. If they get close to you, they'll explode and deal damage to the whale. Unlike Dave, the whale only has three bars of health and one gets depleted every time it takes damage.
If all three bars are depleted, the fight will fail and you can either restart or head to the boat and come prepared the next time.
Since you don't use your health bar or weapons in this fight, you can't exactly be better prepared for it.
After a few seconds, these brown Jellyfish will automatically explode and the big fish will reveal its red eyes. At the same time, it'll produce a current that'll push you to the left end and regularly spawn green blobs that deal damage if they hit the Beluga. You'll have to use the sprint mechanic to get close to the boss while avoiding the green projectiles.
Once you're close, you can head smash it once and it'll hide the eyes again. You'll have to do this three times to end the boss fight.
It might seem easy to repeat the same process thrice, but the boss will get buffed every time you hit it once. This won't increase its health, but the attacks performed by the Jellyfish will be enhanced in the following ways:
Phase One |
Each phase has two parts: one where it spawns Jellyfish and the other where it spawns the green projectiles. For the first phase, the boss will travel to random locations and spawn only one Jellyfish at a time. This will g🅘o🅺 up to three Jellyfish before they all explode. When its eyes are revealed, the boss will shoot two rounds of green projectiles in quick succession with three projectiles each. They'll travel in a straight line so it's quite easy to dodge them. |
Phase Two |
In the second phase, the number of Jellyfish spawned will go up to two at a time but the boss will only travel in a horizontal line. Once the Jellyfish explode, it'll spawn a group of green projectiles that will slowly curve to the bottom of the field. These projectile🗹s are much harder to dodge as each one of them has a different path. |
Phase Three |
Finally, the boss will go all out in the third phase and spawn four Jellyfish at once. It'll also move around anywhere on the battlefield randomly. If you survive, the greenꦉ projectiles will be a combinat𝄹ion of the first and second phases. |
At the bottom of the battlefield, you'll see a small substance in the water. If you swim on top of this, the Beluga will gain one health bar. It's recommended to save this for dire situations and not use it at the start of the battle. Try to stay on the top part while dodging the Jellyfish so you don't accidentally claim it.
Phantom Jellyfish will deal a bar of damage if you touch 🏅it during the first part of every phase where it spawns smaller fish.
Although, you won't take any damage if you run into its body when its eyes are revealed.
Once defeated, you can harvest the Jellyfish's tentacle to get a rare item that will unlock a special recipe at Bancho Sushi called Phantom Jellyfish Jelly. It can be unlocked with one Artisan Flame but can only be used on one day. Although, it will let you serve up to ten customers and you'll get $700 with each serving.
