Coral Trout are only found during the day at depths of 50-130m. They're quite small, so they're easy to miss, but just keep an eye out for their red flash of colour as you explore.

Keep an eye out for other aggressive fish nearby that may attack you while you're on the prowl for Coral Trout.

How To Catch Coral Trout

Coral Trout are very easy to catch. You can use your harpoon, or even your knife, as they're so small. You certainly won't need any upgrades or special weapons.

If you want to ﷽catch 3-star Coral Trout, you can simply use a net gun to catch them completely undamaged.
