The major choice that impac🅰ts your relationship with Nightmare will come when they ask you to choose your greatest fear. Every option is valid, but how you react to the nightmares is what has the greatest influence on your ending with them. So here's how to get each ending.

Hate

Getting Nightmare to hate you is pretty easy, as it is with most characters. They have a specific purpose in life, and that is to terrify you with their unsettling nightmares. All you have to do to get them to hate you is to reject the fear at every turn. This will make them doubt their existence, putting the blame on you, and reaffirming their goal i🤡n trying to terrify you.

If you do end up getting this ending, you can upgrade it to a Friend ending with a candy, though this cannot later be changed again.

Friends

Becoming friends with Nightmare is a bit more unconventional. Rather than assuring them of their purpose in life regardless of how much it scares you or not, you need to act scared at every moment.
