Theꦫ Dark Souls 3 DLC features a lot of imposing bosses. Here's a look at all of them, ranked by thei﷽r difficulty.

The series has a h൲ardcore and dedicated audience, that to no one's surprise, loves quoting all three games. Dark Souls is filled with interesting characters and stories that all come together to fo🐽rm an unforgettable experience.

Updated on January 12, 2025 by Alfredo Robelo: After FromSoftware announced Elden Ring Nightreign, showing many fan-favorite bosses from the Dark Souls series, fans are sharing their fond memories of that saga. We have updated this article to include even more iconic phrases from the diverse cast of the Dark Souls trilogy.

19 𓄧 "Bear, Seek, See🍎k, Lest."

Emerald Herald, Dark Souls 2

Dark Souls 2 image showing the Emerald Herald.

If you haven't played much of Dark Souls 2, you might be puzzled by this entry, since it is far more nonsensical than most other lines in the series. In truth, the full quote spoken by the Emerald Herald near💖ly every time you speak to her is as follows: "Bearer of the Curse. Seek Souls, larger and more powerful Souls. Seek the King; that is the only way. Lest this land swallow you whole, as it has so many others."

That is a very long phrase to be spoken every single time you just want a quick level up, so a lot of players skip it, although the Herald always gets one word out before moving to the next phrase. As such, what you'll most often hea💯r her say is only the starting words, ending 🌺up in the iconic "Bear, Seek, Seek, Lest."

18 "Twill Be A Cold, Dark, And V♕ery Gentle Place. And One Day, It Will Make Someone A Goodly Home."

The Painter, Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 3 image showing the Painter.

One of the most unique places you can visit in the Darkꦅ Souls series are the painted worlds, mostly due to how you go to them. These are artificial locations created with magical paintings, and if there was ever a doubt that the painting was the world or merely a portal, Dark Souls 3 introduces us to a Painter that creates this places from scratch.

This Painter is the ultimate goa𒐪l of both DLCs, being rescued in one and given her tools in the other. Said tool is the Dark Soul, and she'll use that to create a world that will be cold and gentle; this clearly references that the Age of Fire is over, but we can't help but wonder what that painting might lead to, making it a great fan connection to places like Sekiro, Bloodborne and even Elden Ring.

17 "And The Furtive Pyg🦩my, So Easily F𒆙orgotten."

Narrator, Dark Souls

Dark Souls: Manus Looming In The Darkness.

T𒊎he introductory cinematic for the first Dark Souls game estab❀lishes a lot of lore in a short span of time, presenting plenty of characters that are key to understanding the plot of the world. One of the character introductions has a hilarious tone to it, not only due to the words chosen, but also because of how true those words are.

When the narrator is presenting the entourage that took part of the first flame alongside Gwyn, he presents the Furtive Pygmy (father of humanity and final boss of the DLC) with a short line ending in "Easily Forgotten." And players will easily forget the poor creature, as he is almost never referenced again unti⛄l the end of the game's DLC, making even the player ignore his existence.

16 "To Be Alive... To Walk This Earth... That's The Real Curse Right There."

Crestfallen Saulden, Dark Souls 2

One of the first NPCs 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you'll meet in Dark Souls 2 isn't exactly the h🎐appiest man alive. Crestfallen Saulden welcomes you with some of the most depressing lines you'll hear throughout your adventure.

While there's always a charac🍰ter with th꧂ese vibes in the game, Saulden receives some extra points for how memorable his delivery is.

15 “So, What Do You Say? Why Not Help One Another On This Lonely Jour♋ney?”

Solaire Of Astora, Dark Souls

Praise the sun gesture being performed by Solaire from Dark Souls.

There's no such thing as too many Solaire quotes. While this one is the first you're reading now, there will be a couple more along the way. W🍃hy? Because Solaire is one of the best NPCs in the whole series, and a positive force that will always make yo🍃u want to keep pushing forward (at least, until his possible tragic ending).

Dark Souls 3 is similar to its predecessors in that it’s chꦆallenging action RPG with a vague story. We've ranked every possible ending you can get.

This line is so simple, yet so powerful and sweet. We are the only thing♏ we have in front of harsh times in life. But when possible, being near another one can make things a bit easier and more meaningful.

14 "There, That Hole. Take A Closer Look."🥃

Patches, Dark Souls

The player interacting with Patches in a dark cave from Dark Souls.

Patches is one of the few true reoccurring characters in the entiret💖y of the Soulsborne series, and he serves as the resident troll. When you meet him in the Tomb of the Giants he presents himself as a novice traveler, curious to see what you're up to. Little do you know he's simply setting a trap so that he may rob your dead body once you perish in the dark.

Right before that happens he offers you a suggestion to look into the cav♍ernous hole he pushes you into by stating, "There, that hole. Take a closer look." This is immediately followed by you falling into the dark and not being able to do anything about it. What a swell and trustworthy individual Patches is.

13 "The Dragons Shall Never Be Forgotten… [...] The Dragons Teased Out Our Dearest Em🌸otions …Thou Will Understand, One Day. At Thy Twilight, Old Thoughts Return, In Great Waves Of Nostalgia.&qꦫuot;

Hawkeye Gough, Dark Souls

The player in front of a huge crouching warrior from Dark Souls.

The original Dark Souls presents the world as a dark and cold place full of memorable characters you r👍un into throughout your journey. Hawkeye Gough stands out as a knight of Gwyn who is both a giant and an archer. He's a very somber and introspective person who contemplates his place and purpose in the grand scheme of the world around him. As a valiant knight, he also respects those he's fought with and understands true power.

The respect he has for dragons is evident in this quote. It's a rat♑her length♌y quote, but it shows that Gough understands every moment of every battle he's ever been a part of.

12 ♈ "I May Be But Small, But I Will Die A Colossus."

Ludleth Of Courtland, Dark Souls 3

Ludleth Lord of Cinder sitting on his throne, thinking.

When you first reach Firelink Shrine in Dark Souls 3, you're greet🤪ed with a throne room where five Lords൲ of Cinder once gathered. All of the lords but one have disappeared to reside in their own locations elsewhere. The one who remained is the smallest of stature and is known as Ludleth of Courtland.

When he tells you this quote, he isn't referring to his stature eventua💝lly changing but rather his understanding that he will play a big role in what becomes of the world around him. He's also the only lord willing to do his duty and be present at the Firelink Shrine, making a case for him being the boldest, bravest, and m♌ost self-confident of all the Lords of Cinder.

11 "Deatꦯh Is Equitable, Accepting. We Will All, One Day, Be Welcomed By Her Embrace." ♈

Grave Warden Agdayne, Dark Souls 2

A close shot at Grave Warden Aydane's face from Dark Souls 2.

Despite Dark Souls 2 catching a lot of criticism from the Dark Souls community, it still contributes plenty of amazing quotes and pieces of lore to the overall world-building of the series. A notable NPC in the game by the♓ name of Grave Warden Agdayne is the source of some rather evocative statements.

On the matter of mortality, he expresses a quote🌳 that clearly defines that he's not only contemplated death, but he has come to terms with it being an eventuality every person must succumb to.

10 🐷 "If♒ Only I Could Be So Grossly Incandescent."

Solaire Of Astora, Dark Souls

Solaire praising the sun classic pose from Dark Souls.

It's hard to find a character as popular and prominent in the Dark Souls﷽ trilogy as Solaire of Astora. You come across him in the original Dark Souls, and his presence has been a mainstay of the fandom ever since. He has plenty of quotes people love reciting, but few are as iconic as when he says the selected quote.
