Strategy

Staying at close to mid-range is recommended for all melee users. Do not hug the boss throughout the fight. This is because th♉e boss has a lot of AOE that can deal serious damage if you close. Try to bait out his attacks, then go in to get a few attacks in. Old Demon King has quite a lot of delay in between each attack giving you time to 🌄attack.

The boss fight is quite easy for Sorcery users. This is because the boss does not have any long-ranged attacks, so you can stay at a distance and use Great Heavy Soul Arrow constantly. This will a༒llow you to take out huge chunks of his health, an✃d you can also use obstacles in the area as cover from the AOE if the Old Demon King comes too close.

There is bad news for all pyromancy users: The Old Demon King is extremely resistant to fire, making almost all pyromancy spells are useless. However, if you come back to the boss at a later stage with Dark Pyromancies like Black Fire Orb, you can melt him down quickly.
