Do your best to survive these wretche🍎d landscapes.

There is a finite number of items within the theme park, so careful management of your resources is critical to your𝔍 survival. If you're new to the Survival Horror genre💫, it can be difficult to decide when it's worth using bullets and healing items. Here we have some tips for all beginner survivalists.

Get The Laser Sight And Flashlight

The flashlight in the bathroom close to the Crow Country Park Entrance in Crow Country.

When you first arrive at the theme park, Mara's only weapon is a basic handgun. After entering the park, enter the bathroom on the left wall to find the pocket light and some extra ammo. The flashlight allows you to explore dark areas more easily, but it can also give you away to nearby monsters.

The pocket light can also spawn at the front entrance of the park. If the light is found here, then you'll find the laser sight in the bathroom instead.

The pocket light and laser sight will continue spawning throughout the park if you fail to pick them up.

Exit the bathroom and head north towards the center of the park. In front of the giant crow, pick up the laser sight, it will automatically be equipped to your weapon. The laser sight will greatly improve your accuracy, allowin🃏g you to target specific parts of an enemy.

The longer you aim down your sights, the more your reticle will begin to drift around. Fire at an enemy as quickly as possible to prevent your aim from wavering off target.

Don't Kill Every Enemy

As tempting as it may be to eliminate every monster you see, it's ultimately just a waste of bullets. You're better off running away from enemies. It's best to kill monsters you find in smaller areas where running past them is impossible.

If you do find yourself in an avoidable battle, stand close to the enemy and aim for their head to maximize damage output. Attacking from a distance deals less damage, but it's a good choice if you're running low on he🍌alth.

Landing headshots can decapitate an enemy and instantly kill them. However, there's a small chance that a decapitated enemy will persist even after losing its head.

Use The Fortune Teller

With so many areas to explore and frequent backtracking, it's easy to forget what your current objective is. Luckily, the Fortune Teller Machines scattered throughout the park will provide you with hints about what you should be doing next.

If the hint is a little unclear, you can ask for another hint to get some clarification. After receiving two hints, the Fortune Teller won't provide you with another until you complete the related objective.

The number above the Fortune Teller's head indicates how many hints you have left. You only get ten hints per playthrough.

Disarm Traps With Bullets

Aside from otherworldly abominations, the park is also rife with a variety of traps. Bear traps, glass gas traps, chandelier traps, and explosives are spread throughout the park.

Shooting at a trap is enough to disarm it, but it's wort✃h conserving your ammo if the trap is easy to avoid.

Traps can also be used against enemies. Chandelier traps and explosive traps have a large attack radius that can eliminate multiple enemies at once. You can also lure enemies into bear traps to instantly kill a single enemy.

If you're running low on handgun ammunition, you can get some extra from the trunk of Mara's car. You can only receive extra bullets if you have four or fewer bullets remaining.

Search Trash Cans And Soda MachinesA player searching through the trash can near the Park Entrance in Crow Country.

Trash cans and soda machines often contain health items or ammunition. Though it's not always guaranteed, there's no harm in searching whenever possible. You can also find items within glass bottles, but you'll need to shoot the bottle ⛦to get access to the item.

Items can also be found simply lying around various areas within the park. Whenever you gain access to a new room, carefully comb through it before moving on. Smaller items like Antidotes and Grenades are easily missable due to their size.

You can also find items within barrels and large crates, but there's no guarantee ⛄there will be an item inside. It's a gamble, but it's one worth taking if you're runniꦺng low on supplies.

Save Grenades And Shotgun Shells

While exploring, there may be instances where all exits to a room are sealed off, and a strong enemy appears. The only way to escape is by defeating the enemy. These encounters are the perfect time to use any grenades and shotgun shells you've been saving up.

You can throw a grenade while aiming down your sights. The grenade will land wherever you were aiming and will explode immediately if it hits something. If the grenade doesn't hit anything, it will explode after a few moments.

Grenades not only do a ton of damage but can also hit multiple enemies on the field with the blast. If you're in a one-on-one fight, it's better to use the shotgun.

Check Your Notes Often

Within Save Rooms is a green ring-bound book that contains every Staff Memo you've read so far. Staff Memos are found around the park as white papers attached to clipboards. These memos often give hints towards solving specific puzzles and where to find certain items.

Only Staff Memos are saved within the green book. It's up to you to remember random notes, like the one left behind by Arthur. No choice but tꦜo break out the pen and paper if you want to keep track of everything.

Within Save Rooms, you can also find the Mega Byte Magazine which contains every tip you've read so far. Like Staff Memos, tips are found throughout the park as colorful magazine pages attached to clipboards. These tips provide information on certain gameplay elements like combat, traps, and control schemes.

Freeze Enemies With Menus

A player interacting with a door at the center of the park, freezing the nearby enemy in Crow Country.

When interacting with objects, all nearby enemies will freeze in place. As long as the object you're interacting with brings up a menu, enemies will not move from their current location. Selecting an item to use, searching trash cans, and talking to NPCs are all actions that c𓂃an stop enemies in their tracks.

Once a menu is closed, enemies will instantly resume their course of action. If an enemy was chasing you before a menu was opened, it will immediately try to attack you once the menu is closed.

While selecting a key to open a door, enemies won't attack. However, some doors have lengthy opening animations💟 that will leave you vulnerable to nearby enemies.
