Days after a random post teased a "victory lap", a leaker has claimed that is getting a Grand Prix Edition release for curre♋nt-gen consoles.
So far, 2025 is shaping up to be a banner year forღ kart racing fans. Not only do we finally have a new Mario Kart game thanks﷽ to the Switch 2's Mario Kart World, but the plumber's rival Sonic is also getting his o🐟wn racing game later iဣn the year. As great as those are, though, we're missing something from the real best kar𝓡t racing series.

Crash Team Racing Is Better Than Ma﷽rio Kart, And I’m Tired Of Pretending That It’෴s Not
Mario Kart making an appearance first does not automatically m💎ake it better.
I am, of course, talking about . I might have a bit of a bias, but Crash Team Racing is a total geౠm o♏f the genre that only got better with the Nitro-Fueled remake. Sadly, despite massive sales, Crash Team Racing has been in the dark for many ye🌃ars now and is stuck on las🅰t-gen consoles. That might not be the case for long, though.
We Might Be Getting A Current-Gen Release Of Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled
The Real King Of Kart Racing Could Be Coming Back
, earlier this week, a post was made to the Crash Team Racing subreddit by Redditor HazelnutsUnknown, who claimed to have some big information about the future of the series. In the post, ❀, where they were assigned the project months ago.
The post claims that Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is getting a Grand Prix Edition that will launch for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC at some point in early ꦍ2026. The new release, which is said to not really be a port and instead an upgraded version, will include a few new characters and one track, as well as a reserve meter.
Alongside sharing the notes about the potential re-release, a few images of the alleged game were shared which interestingly hint at two items being held at once. Some of the renders used in the image look to be new as well, which does give a 𓄧little more credence to the leak being true instead of a high-effort fake.
It seems that most Crash f𝔉ans don't believe this leak to be true based on the replies to the post. I'm definitely sce꧑ptical, but stranger things have happened.
That being said, it's worth taking the post with a massive grain of salt. , it could very well have b🐻een faked by someone just wanting to see the game🦋 return. We should find out in due time, but god knows I want this rumour to come to pass.
