How To Get Seeds To Farm On Coral Island
You'll need to either purchase seeds from Sam's General Store or go hunting in the tall grass, cutting it down to collect Wild Seeds.
Once they're in your inventory, select them from your tool belt, click the patch of readied earth to plant them, and then give them a good dose of hydration with the watering can for good measure.
Fertiliser can be crafted to use on raw soil once it is gifted to you if you want to increase the quality of your crops, thereby upping their monetary value. Craft this in your inventory using two Compost and two Sap, and build a compost machine through this menu too by combining 20 Wood, five Trash, and five Sap.
This will improve the quality of your crops, and these higher-value products will be indicated by a purple star next to their icon in your inventory.
Selling Produce
Once you've harvested your fully-grown crops by left-clicking on them when the "Harvest" interaction is available, you'll now be able to eat them to gain some health and energy - or you can sell them for a profit.
You can even plant pine, oak, or maple trees for your own private woodcutting needs!
Either bring the fruits and veggies directly to Sam's General Store, which is just to the right of your farm in the Town Centre, or use the Shipping Bin outside your house to d🐲eposit the goods and collect payment the following day.
You'll need to pay attention to the vegetables' seasonality, as this will indicate which fruit and veg you will be able to buy and grow. Some plants such as the hot chili peppers grow all year if they are tended to properly, but you will only be able to purchase the seeds from 🐷Sam when they are actively in season.
If a plant has gone out of season, it will become another harvestable resource on the first day of the next month. Potential resources include fibre (which you must cut with your scythe), wood logs to chop, and stone boulders to mine.
The season changes every 28-day month in the world of Coral Island, so keep an eye on the calendar in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen. No seeds are available during Winter!

Expanding Your Farm
Once you've waded a fair way into the game and have built a kiln to smelt copper ore into bars, you'll be able to take these raw materials to the Carpenter to expand your farm.
After purchasing the upgrade, a short cutscene will play where you can watch the farmer work with the Carpenters to build the new📖 structure b𝓀efore they take their leave.
Here a🐼re the dif꧟ferent upgrades you can get when you first start adding to your farm:
Structure |
Purpose |
Materials Needed |
Coop Level One |
Houses live chickens to lay eggs. |
100 Wood 50 Stone Five Bronze bars 10 Fibre |

20 Scrap 50 Wood Two Bronze bars |

100 Scrap 300 Stone Two Silver bars |
By constructing new buildings, you'll be able to tend to farmyard animals with food and water as 𝓀well as grow and water your crops to sell to the islandౠers.
You'll find that your farmyard can look rather busy if items are not placed well, so be sure to keep an eye on your space; remember, you've got a lot of ground to cover.
These ranching add-ons can be rather pricey, however, and the crafting system itself can be a hard graft. Keep focusing on building skills, selling products, and grinding through missions; you'll be a jolly rancher in no time!
