Just like humans and Grandis, the Gestrals were scattered across the world of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 after the F💮racture. The Searchers are Gestrals who dedicate their lives to fin💧ding their kin and bringing them home. By seeking the Lost Gestrals during your quest, you can help Sastro, one particularly inept Searcher, who hangs out at your camp.

There are nine Lost Gestrals in total, each hidden on the Cont♛inent Map. Just because you don't have to go delving into dungeons looking for them doesn't mean they're easy to find, though.

We've divided up the Lost Gestrals by the earliest Act in which you can find them. Don't worry if ☂you miss them, you can always come back later, even if it's in a different Act.

Lost Gestrals In Act 1

Near Esquie's Nest

When you emerge from Flying Waters after defeating Goblu, travel east ♋to find the 🌳first Lost Gestral near Esquie's Nest.

Near Stone Wave Cliffs

As you approach Stone Wave Cliffs, follow the lower path to the east, along the shore. Fight the Bourgeon there (you may need to come back in Act 2 to be strong enough), then look to the east of wher♛e it was standing to find a Lost Geౠstral. There’s also a Pictos in the campsite behind the Bourgeon.

Lost Gestrals In Act 2

Near The White Tree

Swim west of the peninsula northwest of the Gestral Village and find the island with the White 🔴Tree. A Lost Gestral is in the woods on the southꦦern part of the island.

Near Monoco's Station

Look for a merchant east of the path leading to Monoco’s Station; there’s a Lost Gestral hiding among the trees and ruins just to the south of them. You can also find this spot easily by leaving Monoco’s Station by the northeast entrance and using the paint sཧmear bri🦹dge to return to the previous area.

Near The Coastal Cave

Once Esquie gains the ability to break coral reefs, you’ll be able to reach the northern shore of the island with the Coastal Cave, east of Monoco’s Station. There’s a Lost Gestral among the urꦍns there.

Near Old Lumiere

The red island northwest of Old Lumiere has a pair of Mimes near its center. Past them, near the mountains, are some Gestral jars where a𝓀 Lost Gestral is hiding.

Lost Gestrals In Act 3

Near The Endless Tower

Stand at theꦑ entrance to the Endless Tower and mount Esquie. Fly straight up while looking southwest; you’ll see a small floating island as you ascend; the Lost Gestra꧃l is there.

Near The Reacher

When you go to The Reacher for Maelle’s personal quest in Act 3, take a quick detour to land in the forest clearing just northeast of the Axon’s tower. There’s a Lost Gestral at the south end.

Near Endless Night Sanctuary

Fly east from Old Lumiere, almost to the edge of the map. You’ll see a large red forest with an area called Endless Night Sanctuary. The final Lost Gestral is on the western side of the rocks in front of the entrance, north of the enemy group..

Lost Gestral Rewards

Speaking to Sastro after recovering Lost Gestrals will earn rewards based on how many you've found. At first, Sastro will offer Gestral hairstyles for each of the human characters, then resources like Colours of Lumina for each new arrival.

After you've found four Lost Gestrals, he'll teach you how to smash blue rocks with melee attacks🦩, opening up areas that were previously in🅘accessible. That's a good time to take Esquie and return to earlier regions.

When you've found all nine Lost Gestrals, Sastro will give you the Pictos. It allows you to flee instantly from combat when equipped, which isn't the best ability, but it co൲mes with a solid Health and Speed boost that can bolst🏅er a character's stats.
