As ruler of Egy♔pt, he has access to their powerful bonuses along rivers and an impressive engine for generating Culture and Faith.
As you might expect, Ramses is all about building as much as you can. From basic Monuments to the game's enormous Wonders, Ramses wants to pack as much into his cities as possible. Read on to find out everything you need to know about the mighty Pharaoh - your foes will look upon your works and despair!
Ramses' Ability - Abu Simbel
Ramses is a Wonder-focused leader, but not in the same manner as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Qin Shi Huang. Rather than being able to build Wonders faster or more effeciently, Ramses instead gets an additional reward when he finishes one. Upon completing a Wonder, Ramses gets an immediate Culture bonus equal to thirty percent of the Production that was spent on the Wonder.
The Pharaoh also gets a smaller reward for finishing regular buildings. Any time a building is completed in one of Ramses' cities, he receives Culture equel to fifteen percent of the Production that was spent on the building.
Ayutthaya's Suzerain bonus has a similar effect to Abu Simbel. Always try to vassalize them as Ramses to double-dip on Culture!
Taken together, these two bonuses allow Ramses to quickly unlock Civics,🌊 allowing advanced policies, government types, and abilities. Since cities expand into new tiles via Culture, Abu Simbel also make𒈔s it easier to spread your domain.
Early Game Strategy For Ramses
As with Cleopatra, the best possible start location for Ramses is along a river. This lets you use Egypt's Iteru ability to get your initial Distri🀅cts up and running without fear of flood damage. Ramses is versatile enough that he can bring prosperity to Egypt starting from a lake or coast as well, but 🐬rivers are much better.
Use Egypt's bonus to District construction along rivers to build a Holy Site; Egypt isn't strictly a religious Civilization, but they get plenty of Faith bonuses from Sphinxes that you may as well use. If it doesn't look like you'll be able to found a Religion, you can pivot to building a Campuis or maybe an Encampment instead as the situation warrants.
Ultimately, your goal in the Ancient and Classical Eras is to build at least one Wonder and get the Inspiration for꧃ Drama and Poetry that comes along with it.
The early Wonder that you choose i🎃s up to you; Etemenanki, the Oracle, the Great Bath, and the of course the Pyramidsꦐ are all excellent choices!
With the Inspiration and the Culture boost from finishing a Wonder, you should be able to unlock Drama and Poetry to get access to Theater Squares. In each city where you build a Wonder, try to construct a Theater Square and a Sphinx adjac⛦ent to it; the Wonder gives bonuses to both!
From here and into the mid-game, build and expand your cities in whatever way you deem best - as long as you're finishing buildings, you'll keep getting bonus Culture! Focus on rushing either Exploration or Divine Right so thaꦐt you can change to the Merchant Republic or Monarchy government as soon as possible.
Late Game Strategy For Ramses
Ramses is perfectly suited to a Culture Victory, often with a Religious Victory as a backup. Sphinxes, Wonders, and Great Works all generate Tourism, so use them to create a baseline while using Faith to build National Parks and recruit Rock Bands.
Use Ramses' impressive Culture output to rush policies like Heritage Tourism that will increase your overall Tourism bonus. Try to have a Campus or two active coming out of the mid-game as well; Sphinxes don't start generating Tourism until after you've discovered Flight, so that needs to be a priority.
Build lots of Neighborhoods once they become available; more Housing means more people, which means more Districts in each city, which means more buildings to give you Culture bonuses! The extra Tourism from Shopping Malls also helps your end goal.
Try to only fight defensive wars as Ramses. Units don't generate Culture when they're completed, and neither do captured buildings.
Tourism-focused Wonders like the Bolshoi Theater and the Eiffel Tower are good choices for any Culture Victory, and they'll provide enough of a boost as Ramses to finish out entire Civics when they're completed. Simillarly to how you rushed the Medieval government types, when you hit the Modern Era try to unlock Class Struggle as soon as you can🍸; the extra Production in your cities after switching to Communism will help you snowball even 𒉰more!
