Abraham Lincoln's Abilities

As leader of America, Abe has access to the same civilization ability as Teddy Roosevelt, but his leader ability changes the American play style considerably🏅.

Founding Fathers

The civilization ability of the American people turns all Diplomatic policy slots into Wildcards, and generates one Diplomatic Favor per turn for each Wildcard slot in Lincoln's government. However, Lincoln's militaristic play style is better suited to more autocratic government forms, so you may not get as much use out of Founding Fathers as you would under Teddy.

Emancipation Proclamation

Lincoln's signature ability causes Industrial Zones to generate three Loyalty for their city, while Plantations incur two points of negative Loyalty. Additionally, whenever Lincoln completes a new Industrial Zone or a building inside an existing one, he gets a free melee unit of his current researc🔜h tier tha𝓡t has no maintenance cost and five higher Combat Strength than normal.

Emancipation Proclamation lets Abraham Lincoln build a large army in the mid-to-late game while simultaneously expanding his Production capacity. The extra Production ⭕can then be used to create ranged, siege, and support units to round out the US military juggernaut.

Early Game Strategy

Lincoln's abilities don't come into play until you research Apprenticeship, so the first turns of the game will be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:much like any other. Prioritize mines, since this gets you a head start on military research - better yet, having three active mines unlocks the Eure⛎ka for Apprenticeship, shaving a few turns off of the time it will take to unlock Industrial Zones.

If you have the luxury of a peaceful early game, with no barbarian hordes or aggressive neighbors, focus on Spearmen and Archers for your early military. Spearmen are only slightly weaker than their melee counterparts, and this strategy lets you save on maintenance for melee units that will be outclasse෴d once you🦋 start building Industrial Zones.

The Loyalty penalty that comes with Plantations under Lincoln might make you hesitant to exploit important resources in your starting area. Don't worry - the benefits of those resources outweigh the risks. Unless your early cities are far from your capital, they'll be more than capable of negating the Loyalty penalty. If it comes down to it, you can always assign a Governor if a city starts to rebel.

Like most military leaders, Lincoln's early districts should include Encampments and Campuses. This enhances your military and speeds up research, ensuring that you're never at a tech disadvantage. Unlike Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln is much less likely to pursue a Culture Victory, so you can safely pass on Theater Squares - Abe has a bad history with theaters anyway.

Late Game Strategy

As soon as Industrial Zones are available, your plans for global conquest can be set into motion. Start by placing an Industrial Zone in every city you can. Even if you don't construct them right away, placing a district locks in its Production cost, preventing it from rising as the eras pass.

Each time you finish an Industrial Zone, you'll get a free melee unit. Use these units, along with your existing army, to conquer one of your neighbors. Prioritize 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:conquering cities that don't have Industrial Zones so that you can build the🅘m yourself and get more free units!

Immediജately building an Industrial Zone followed by a Workshop in a newly-conquered city lets you qu𒁏ickly merge the free units to create Corps. Once Factories are added into the equation, each new city is effectively a free Army!

The rest of the campaign will be a cycle of growth, expansion, and conquest. As with any other Domination Victory, you don't need to eliminate other players entirely - just controlling their original capital is enough.

When air power inevitably becomes a factor, the American unique unit - the P-51 Mustang - makes it easy to control the skies. Try to research Flight early and get Aerodromes up and running as soon as you can to capitജalize on th🍬is, using the same process as you did for Industrial Zones earlier.

Beware of conquerin꧂g faraway cities ൩with lots of Plantations - it will be hard to keep them from rebelling!

While Lincoln might not be as powerful in the World Congress as Teddy Roosevelt, you can still use the extra Diplomatic Favor from Founding Fathers to your advantage. Save your Diplomatic Favor until a vote comes around that buffs units or enhances military production,ꦕ then use every vote you have ﷽to force it through.
