168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cassette Beasts might sell you on its Pokemon-like roots, but there's plenty that differentiates Bytten Studios' fresh gem from that treasured series. Yet for all the divergences, certain core themes remain, including a group of characters who must be defeated in order to prove the player's prowess.

In Pokemon, they're Gym Leaders. In Cassette Beasts, they're Ranger Captains. But Ranger Captains, and the entire Ranger concept, is very much a Cassette Beasts original. We'll get you acquainted with how the game operates its monster-battling organization, and set you on the road to victory. Which is a play on Victory Road, because we couldn't help ourselves here.

Ranger Training

Cassette Beasts Ianthe Archangel

Not too long into the game, you'll meet Ianthe, who leads the Rangers in Harbourtown. At this point, you'll be formally introduced to people back at Ranger HQ, though you can technically chat them up a little bit beforehand. Kayleigh, your first partner, is a Ranger herself and will invite you along to join the band.

Only, it isn't so easy as signing a few papers. Rather, Ianthe decides that the player character must confront and defeat all 12 Ranger Captains throughout the island of New Wirral to graduate from trainee to full-fledged member. Evidently, the hero's natural battle acumen impresses Ianthe enough to put them through the tougher path - by her own admission, Kayleigh's entrance tests were far easier.

And so begins one of the main quests, to seek out all 12 Ranger Captains, wherever they may be. A handful of the earlier ones are ea🍸sy to bump into, but many will involve🌳 needing to acquire new abilities from specific Cassette Beasts in order to be reached.

Find out the locations of Ranger Captains by regularly talking to NPCs in Harbourtown whenever they have exclamation bubbles over their heads. Their rumors will frequently pertain to the various captains; track these rumors and you'll have the rough whereabouts of each.

Tricks Of The Trade

The specific abilities necessary are Mothwing Glide, Diveal Swim, Bulletino Dash, Electromagnetism, and Pumpkin Vine Ball. Most Ranger Captains will need between zero and two of these to b💯e reac꧟hed, and you may feel irritated early on seeing the fellows just out of reach until further notice. So it goes.

These abilities are learned by capturing (recording) specific creatures; Mothwing, Divea, and Bulletino are all the names of the species needed, whilst Electromagnetism is courtesy of Boltam and Pumpkin Vine B♐all comes from Jumpkin, who can be recorded at the Piper Farm after fixing the bridge (simply step into it to initiate a battle).

Most Ranger Captain fights are only moderately challenging at most. They'll put up a bit of a battle, to be sure, but it's nothing next to going all out against Archangels, the 'real' bosses in Cassette Beasts. Just make sure you're fully healed and freshly stocked, and you'll seldom have a ton of trouble.

Reaping The Ranger Rewards

Cassette Beasts Ranger Wilma

As you continue on through the game, defeating Ranger Captains and accomplishing various other feats, the available items and upgrades from the receptionist (Ranger Wilma) at Harbourtown's Ranger Headquarters will increase accordingly.

At first, you'll only be able to upgrade the number of Rewinds (potion-like items), Respools (revival items), and so forth a little bit, but the amount of Ranger Captains you've brought down is proportionate to the number of times you can upgrade a given slot.

Similarly, key items - the Gym Pass most of all - will require a higher number of Ranger Captain victories. The Gym Pass lets you rebalance the main character's stats, which in turn influences the relative statistical output of your party Cassette Beasts. It's highly useful if you find yourself veering in favor of specific strategies, which you'll figure out naturally as you progress; wise, then, to bar it off until later (though you can redistribute your base stats at any time, thankfully).

Postgame Prowess

Cassette Beasts Bulletin Board-1

This is jumping ahead, but when you've completed Cassette Beasts' main story involving the Archangels and a potential way off the island, there's still a vibrant postgame chapter awaiting you. It centers on the Rogue Fusions, and it's all Ranger-centric - check out the billboard outside Ranger HQ in the meantime, and know that you'll one day be looking up new quests through here on a regular basis.

Many of Cassette Beasts' best rewards are linked to this postgame fare, and it requires, of course, that you've bested all 12 Ranger Captains and become a full-fledged Ranger, yourself.
