Annual releases wouldn't be possible without the work of multiple developers. Currently, three development studios work on Call of Duty: Sledgehammer Games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Infinity Ward, and Treyarch. Each developer has their own take on the Call of Duty formula with many fans gravitating towards Treyarch's Black Ops sub-series over the past few years. They started small, though, creating an expansion for Call of Duty 2. From their first game to most recent, here is every Call of Duty game made by Treyarch ranked from worst to best baseꦛd on Metacritic sco🌌res.

7 Call of Du▨ty 2: Big Red One (78/5.4)

Treyarch's first entry into the Call of Duty series was an expansion-esque standalone title for Call of Duty 2 titled Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.

Unlike most titles, Big Red One focused on one group of soldiers than multiple divisions. Players 🅠took control of the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division for the entire campaign. The game had some solid moments but nothing 🌌that matched the two main entries before it.

6 Call of Duty: Black Op💯s 3 (81/4.6)

Pre-release trailers for Black Ops 3 got many fans equally excited and worried about the game's apparent futuristic near cyberpunk setting. It turns out that both feelings were right o🤪n the money.

Black Ops 3 contains the best Zombies component and exosuit multiplayer that the franchise has seen. The plethora of game modes and customization options made it a favorite amongst Black Ops fans. Unfortunately, the game had a less than stellar campa♋ig🐲n that relied on an overly convoluted means of storytelling.

The true issue with Black Ops 3 was its microtransactions. Weapons that were objective🅷ly stronger than others in the🐻 same archetype were locked behind paywalls or massive amounts of grinding. It holds the best and worst elements out of any Treyarch title.

5 ꩲ Call of Duty 3 (82/6.6)

World War II was a popular setting for first-person shooters when Call of Duty was released. Unfortunately for Call of Duty 3, game👍rs were fatigued with the setting w⛄hen the game released.

Compared to other CoD titles, the third numbered entry delivers much of the same gameplay as the first two titles but with better graphics. Snappy gunplay and engaging setpieces made for a great introduction to the series for newer Call of Duty players. Multiplayer made its return and was the best rendition yet. Up to 24 players could duke it against each other using a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unique class system that the series has since abandoned. It isn't without faults, but Call of Duty 3 is a solid gaꦰme considering its 8 m🐻onth development period.

4 Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 ꦑ(83/5.1) 𒀰

Many fans of the Call of Duty franchise will either choose 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops 2 as their favorite and with good reason.

Modern Warfare 2 might be the most chaotic CoD ever developed, but Black Ops 2 is easily the most balanced and diverse Call of Duty ever. The Pick 10 Create-A-Class system allowed for a degree of freedom that was impossible before. Branching endings and customizable loadouts also made the campaign one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best Call of Duty has seen.

If it wasn't for the lackluster Zombies maps with Victis/Tranzit crew, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 might have been rated much higher by critics on release. Still, fans widely regard this 🌜as the best title Treyarch has ever made.

3 🃏 Call of Duty: World At War (84/7.6) ꦜ

Player fatigue over World War II shooters was in full swing when Call of Duty: World At War 🀅released. The odds were stacked against Treyarch, yet they proved that the setting still had some gas left in the tank.

Split between the Pacific Theater and Eastern Front, players got to experience the war from the perspective of American and Soviet soldiers. Multiplayer was received with less praise than CoD 4's offering, but its inclusion of vehicles and larger maps made for a unique experience that stood on its own. Best of all, it introduced the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fan-favorite Zombies game mode where players fight against infinite waves of t🐷he undead with up to four players.

2 🐷 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (85/4.0) 𒁏

Treyarch's most recent release in the Black Ops franchise ♎was met with extreme praise from critics and a💟 mixed reception amongst fans.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has no campaign, replacing it with the franchise's first Battle Royale mode 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:named Blackout. Besides its resounding success, Treyarch also overhauled multiplayer to focus more on team play by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:slowing down weapon lethality and 𒅌putting a larger emphasi❀s on character abilities.

It was a change that some Call of Duty fans loved while others resented. For critics and most fans, however, these changes were a great breath of fresh air f💟or an otherwise tired franchise.

1 🐼 Call of Duty: Bla🦩ck Ops (87/6.5)

Following on the massive success of Modern Warfare 2, many set their eyes on what Treyarch would do to top the incredibly successful title. It might not have the same energy MW2 does, but Call of Duty: Black Ops certainly lived up to fan expectations.

Instead of fighting enemies in World War II, players were taking to the Cold War with sections during the Vietnam War. Treyarch took full advantage of this with the game's intense campaign and sandbox-oriented multiplayer. Players could purchase any weapon they plea𝓀sed with CoD Points earned through matches or won through Wager Matches.

Zombies also made a return while also introducing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fan-favorite maps such as Kino der Toten. It has the most variety out of any Call of Duty game Treyarch ꦛis released, contributing to its universal praise am꧑ongst fans and critics.
