The game's missions fall into two types: traditional linear levels and what are known as open combat missions. The latter levels start you off with no equipment and only an objective marker. From the drop zone, it is up to you to find a loadout.

Stealth also plays a bigger role here, giving you the opportunity to sneak around and even re-enter a stealth state after being discovered. Past finding a loadout and armor plates, don't expect a lot of exploration. 5 Checkpoints Are Surprisingly Unforgiving 𝐆 ܫ

Generally, dying here sends you back to either the beginning of a level or the last major objective completed. This means traversing through the map multiple times if you die. This will bother you if you're used to checkpoints picking off just a few moments before the firefight, like in most older Call of Duty titles.

4 🦋 Zombies Is Open-Worl♓d

Even when compared to the prior two Modern Warfare games, Modern Warfare 3 feels largely inconsequential except for major character deaths. There's no character development, no major shift in the world order, and the villain's major plan is the same at the beginning of the game as in the end.

2 The Multiplayer Isn't An Exact Copy Of 2009's Modern Warfare 2

Even though this is Modern Warfare 3, the multiplayer contains all the maps from the 2009 Modern Warfare 2. However, don't take this to mean that it is simply a copy-and-paste job. There are some new additions.

A game mode consisting of three competing teams called Cutthroat is completely new, and some modes from later games like Ground W🔯ar also return. The progression system is also different from the 2009 title. Lastly, the different engine alone makes it feel like a completely different beast.
