Summary

  • Thermite is useful in campaign and bots modes, but players often escape its flames in multiplayer, making it less effective.
  • The C4 and Frag Grenade are reliable choices, while the Semtex is the top piece of lethal equipment, delivering high damage and sticking to surfaces and enemies.

11 Throwi🐼ng♏ Star

Like A Ninja

An operator holding onto a Throwing Star with an enemy defeated in the background in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The Throwing Star is absolutely the least effective of all Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 lethal equipment. Firstly, you have to get 50 kills with a Throwing Knife to unlock it, and it doesn't even give you a guaranteed kill like the Throwing Knife does.

Instead, it inflicts a wounding effect on whoever it connects with. There's a chance it could take their health down to zero, but just a chance, so the amount of work it takes to acquire and the lack of satisfaction from using it makes it a dud.

10 Thermite

Start The Fire

The Thermite Grenade in the armory of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Thermite is a good choice if you're playing the campaign or a mode with bots, and in multiplayer, however, it is a bit useless. When you reach level 33, you'll unlock it and can throw it at surfaces, which causes it to stick.

After it sticks, it just bursts into flames and causes fire damage to anyone in contact with it. Most players are smart enough to see it coming and will quickly escape its vicinity, so you'll have to be lucky to do real damage with this.

9 Breacher Drone 💝 🅘

Self-Guided Explosive

A Breacher Drone flies towards a doorway in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

You need to complete three 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Armory Unlock challenges to obtain the Breacher Drone in MW3, which is not a ton of work. Once you get it, it is a fun toy to✃ play with, but it has little effect unless you can catch enemies huddled together.

This drone explodes on impact or when in proximity to an opposing player, so if a player ducks behind a wall just before it explodes, it'll render the drone attack obsolete. It can be decent enough to send the other team running, though.

8 C4

A Vehicle's Worst Nightmare

C4 in the armory of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The C4 was once a must-have piece of equipment in Call of Duty, but that has changed for Modern Warfare 3. While it still 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:packs a punch, several other thro♚wable explosives do a much better job, especially if you have to complete five Armory Unlock ch꧅allenges for it.

You can set up traps on objectives or take down armored vehicles in the game's larger modes. If you die before you detonate it it'll be wasted, so that's the biggest downfall, as it lacks an immediate payoff like other lethal equipment items.

7 Drill Charge ♏

See You On The Other Side

A Drill Charge is thrown towards an enemy in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The Drill Charge is great for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:clearing bu🍌ildings or rooms with objectဣives. Just don't expect to deal much damage or get an elimination off of it, as the build-up before it is fully effective gives enemies way too much time to evacuate.

You'll add it to your locker after completing three Armory Unlock challenges for it, and to get the best use out of it, play a mode like Search and Destroy or Headquarters. Launch it into a wall with the objective on the other side.

6 ဣ Proximity Mine 𓂃

Set It And Forget It

The Proximity Mine in the armory of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The Proximity Mine requires you to complete five Armory Unlock challenges in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. That's more than many other pieces of lethal equipment you need to unlock, but it'll be worth it if you're a sniper.

If you need to watch your back but don't have a teammate to do it, the Proximity Mine works great, as it does have a tell whenever it is activated. That gives enemies time to crouch and avoid its explosion, making it less useful than it could be.

5 Frag 🐓Grenade

Old Reliable

The Frag Grenade in the armory of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta.

A classic choice, the Frag๊ Grenade is the default lethal equipment item. It has served COD players well for decades, as a simple and effective weapon that you just haveꦦ to aim, throw, and wait for it to explode.

4 ♌ Thermobaric Grenade

Bombard Them With Grenades

A Thermobaric Grenade goes off and creates a fire on the ground in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The Thermobaric Grenade is an explosive that help🃏s the entire team, which you can get at level 53. Much like the basic Frag Grenade, you can cook it, but it does a lot more than the Frag, as it stuns and creates fire in the area for a short period.

The fire causes damage that can 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:lead to an elimination, and on top of that, it increases the letha𝕴lity of other explosives for a brief duration. If your teammates follow up wit🃏h their explosives, whoever is on the receiving end is doomed.

3 💞 𝓡 Throwing Knife

Get Your Montage Clips

You'll be hard-pressed to find more of a fan-favorite piece of lethal equipment in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. At level 30, you can get the Throwing Knife, which has been at the forefront of montages and simply trolling enemy teams in COD for years.

The Throwing Knife is 100% lethal no matter where it lands on an enemy, whether you launch it at their head or foot. The best part is that you can pick it back up after throwing it to replenish your supply and keep racking up eliminat🌊ions.

2 Claymore

Set A Trap

The Claymore in the armory of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The Claymore is a camper's dream. At the low level of eight, you can add it to your arsenal, and if f you're a sniper who wants to secure your rear or you've got a solid setup to block enemies entering an objective, the Claymore should be your go-to.

It is a "set𒈔 it and forget it" type of lethal weapon. You place it facing a certain direction, such as an entryway, and when an enemy runs into the line of sight at a close enough distance, the Claymore explodes and deals massive damage.
