Updated March 15, 2023: The dragons are one of the biggest mysteries in Breath of the Wild, but they do drop some useful items. We've updated this guide for clarity so that you can easily farm Farosh's horns and use them however you please.
Best Farosh Location For Farming
There is a location that is optimal for farming Farosh dragon parts. You can fast travel there and you can sleep until the time the dragon appears. Travel to the Shoda Sah Shrine. If you haven't unlocked it yet, you can find it underneath Riola Spring in West Necluda, the Shrine is behind the waterfall.
Leave the cave where the Shrine is hidden and go up the waterfall to Riola Spring — this is ♛the best place to farm Farosh parts.
Farosh is the yellow dragon that's surrounded with balls of electricity. It can be quite difficult to approach this dragon because of the electricity.
How To Farm Farosh's Horns
Once you're near Riola Spring, put down some wood and light it with some flint or a fire weapon. Then, sit and rest until morning. Resting until morning skips time to 5am, which is exactly when Farosh rises out of the spring.
At 5am, you will notice Farosh appear. This is your chance. Get out your bow and arrows and point it towards the dragon's horn.
It's especially important to aim for the horn, otherwise Farosh will drop other dragon material items instead.
The horn will fall off, so follow its bright light to find where it drops. To keep farming these parts, keep repeating the instructions above. Sit back down and rest until morning as many tඣimes as you wish to keep collecting horns.
You also don't have to keep gathering the horns as soon as they leave Farosh's body. You can collect ไthem after replaying the day a few times to save yourself some time.
Don't forget that you can only harvest one piece of dragon material a day, so don't bother trying to hit it again with an arrow once you've already hit it.
What Can You Do With Shard Of Farosh's Horns?
You can use the Shard of Farosh's Horn to make light yellow dye, sell them for 150 mon or 300 rupees, or make food with boosts that last 30 minutes.
