One person who certainly doesn't share that opinion, however, is Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford. Speaking on social media after the premiere, Pitchford says he's "on cloud 9" right now, and is🌄 encouraging fans of the games to give the film a chance.

"Oh wow - That was so fun!" said Pitchford, having just seen the film himself. "The vibe in the room with real people taking the movie as it came and having fun was just aweso🤡me! I’m on cloud 9 right now."

When production eventually got on track, the film quickly proved controversial.
