Summary

  • Borderlands 4's release date has been moved up and the next game in the series will now launch on September 12.
  • That has convinced some the game has been moved to prevent it being swallowed up by GTA 6.
  • Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has denied those rumors, claiming the date move is due to confidence in the game and the quick progression of late stage development.

If you assumed 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ꩲBorderlands 4's release date was moved to make room for a certain other 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Take-Two Interactive game still slated to be dropping in 2025, thinꦦk again. Randy Pitchford has denied rumors that its release date was movꦏed so it doesn't clash with any other big games.

Pitchford revealed 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Borderlands 4 will now be released on September 12, 2025, two weeks earlier than the original plan. Since Rockstar and Borderlands studio 2K operate under the same Take-Two umbrella, the rumors that GTA 6 has something to do with 🧔this were even more prevalent than usual. However, Pitchford has claimed the release dates of other game✅s have nothing to do with when Borderlands 4 will launch.

Borderlands 4 Is Not Trying To Get Out Of The Way In GTA 6

Or The Imminent Arrival Of Any Other Big Games Coming At The End Of 2025

Pitchford took to Twitter the day after t🔜he Borderlands 4 release date in an attempt to squash any rumors suggesting G🧜TA 6 will dictate when his game arrives. The Borderlands boss claims the release date being brought forward "is 100 percent the result of confidence in the game", crediting the development trajectory and the rate at which bugs are being fixed.

Just to really hammer home the point, even though he doesn't mention GTA 6 by name, Pitchford ad🐭ds that the date change is in no way connected to "other products’ actual or theoretical launch date." The theoretical part, in particular, makes it seem very likely Pitchford is referencing GTA 6. As for this stopping people from theorizing that GTA 6 is exactly why Borderlands 4's release date needed to move, that seems unlikely.

The belief here, despite what Pitchford is claiming, is that GTA 6 is still launching this year, maybe in early October. Borderlands 4's original release date would have led to a lot of theoretical (there's that word again) overlap between it and GTA 6. Even if the two games weren't both owned by Take-Two, that𝄹 would have been potentially disastrous for Borderlands 4.

Reminder that more information about Borderlands 4 will🦄 be revealed during a State of Play dedicated to the game that airs tonight at 5 pm EST.

PlayStatioಌn announcing an October 2 release date for Ghost of Yotei out of the blue also has gamers wondering if select studios know something the rest of us don't. We won't know anything for sure until Rockstar finally caves and reveals something, and for now, there's no telling wh🌃en that's going to happen.
