Publisher Ziggurat Interacti𒐪ve has announced that BloodRayne 🐭Betrayal’s high-definition remaster called Fresh Bites will be coming on September 9.

Originally released in 2011, 2D action-platformer BloodRayne Betrayal is returning ten years later in the enhanced re-issue for modern platforms. The original developer WayForward has updated the game with up to 4K cleaned-up visuals, improved controller support for haptic feedback, and cleared out remaining bugs. In terms of content, Fresh Bites will be fully identical to the original and will offer 15 d꧃ifferent stages of a massive underground castle.

Fresh Bites will also bring new difficulty options to the table. More casual players will be able to play ꦕthrough the story with a newly rebalanced difficulty tuned for a fun and engaging experiencꦉe. At the same time, old fans will get their punishing difficulty mode, lovingly described by the creators as a “tough-as-nails challenge.”

The most interesting feature is a brand-new voice acting performance by the original cast, including Laura Bailey as dhampir Rayne, Troy Baker as Rayne’s father Lord Kagan, as well as the addition of Patrick Seitz and Todd Haberkorn to the cast.
