Whiteclad Noble will be your first venture into bosses with fast movesets and second phases. If you thought Lingxuzi and Guangmou were too easy, you're in luck; Whiteclad Noble is where you'll start to feel that 𝓀difficulty inching higher. Whiteclad Noble Attacks And Movesets

Phase One

Spinning Slashes	Tཧhe noble performs a right slash into a spinning right-handed slash, again into a third spinning aerial right slash, and finally into a delayed forward thrust.	Triple dodge, pause, and then dodge through the final attack. Make an attack of your own.
Delayed Spear Burst	Crouches, pulling the spear behind him to his left, gathering water at the tip. Unleashes a powerful upward diagonal to his right which then has a delayꦫed burst in𒁏 a circle around him.	Dodge roll forward then forward again to immediately attack after.
Feinting Spin	Briefly crouching before rushing forward with a graceful spin, the🐟 Whiteclad Noble, upon landing near the player, will jump behind again to spin and unle🌃ash a diagonal slash from the left, then a forward thrust.	Step aside as the noble dashes through and then dodge backward through the diagonal slash. With the thrust, dodge left or right with a forward tilt for a followup attack.
Spinning Pole Thrust	Hopping backward once, Whiteclad Noble♉ launches himself forward and throws his spear to impale the ground on the other side of the player with his spear (the throw can deal minor damage). He then, holding onto the pole, reroutes himself back to attack feet-first, followed by a quick spinning slash after. He then catches himself again on the far side of the player and repeats, this time attacking with only his spear.	Dodge forward, backward, and then forward again.
Dancing Slashes	Side stepping with a spin, the noble deals quick slashes in succession: fi🍃rst left, then righ🤡t and quick left, the left again, and ended by a spinning kick into a spinning spear.	Dodge to the attack rhythm: one and two-three, and four and five-six.
Jumping Thrust	Beginning to run away from the player, the noble quickly turns around with a jump with the audio dialogue: "A ripple awakens not without a stir..." He lands with a thru🍒sting attack.	Back off slightly as he runs away and prepare to dodge left or right to avoid the thrust.
Retreating Spins	The 𒉰noble retreats from a barrage of attacks with three spear spins away.	Be cautious with overly long combo chains against the noble, prepared to dodge back at the first sign of retaliation.
Water Slices	Rushing forward through the player, the noble grabs his spear with both hands when he lands and begins spinning his blade like Wukong does❀ to deflect projectiles. From his spear, waves of water will begin to erupt as projectiles. It ends with a crouching charge attack that erupts into a large arcing wave in front of him.	Keep your distance during this attack, dodge rolling left or right through the projectiles while sprinting around the noble. Bracing yourself for the final attack, position yourself behind the noble before he makes his charging attack, and then, make an attack of your own once he finishes his combo.
Phase Two
Thrust Attack	Noble begins to swing his spear around his body before rushing forward with a massive thrust. 🐟Typically, the first move used in Phase Two.	Dodge roll forward through the attack. Watch for follow-up attacks.
Spear Throw	The noble pulls his spear back over his shoulder and throws🏅 it forward. The spear stays, and then he holds up his hand to call it back. Deals damage both forward and back.	Dodge to the left or right. Absolutely do not dodge forward or backward or risk being caught. During the initial throw and doge, sprint after the noble to close the distance with a jump attack.
Judgment of Water	Holding his spear over his🍨 head while spinning it, the noble charges an attack that strikes the gℱround in front of him. In a narrow straight line, the water erupts from him across the field of combat.	Back off and begin sprinting either right or left as the noble charges his attack. As the spear strikes the ground, dodge in the direction you were sprinting.
Delayed Spear Burst	Same as Phase One.
"Spinning" Slashes	Slight variations with no spins, and his slashing🌸 attacꦬks have now gained watery slashing projectiles from the blade.	Dodge roll forward and attack.

The Whiteclad Noble's moves are far more difficult than the previous bosses - not because of the speed of his attacks, but because of the water effects that can either hinder frame rates or sneakily ob🧜scure cues for♈ other attacks.

His combos can be on the longer side for an early-game boss of this genre; although, he thankfully becomes simplified in his second phase. Most of his second phase attacks will no lo🔴nger be full com⭕bos.

Of all his attacks, his most dangerous are all found in the first phase:

• Spinning Pole Thrust
• Water Slices
• Dancing Slashes

How To Defeat Whiteclad Noble

Whiteclad Noble will be your first boss fight where you'll have the Qi Summon available. This should be a new feature on the bottom right of your screen, and you can c൩hange out your spirits at the nearest shrine.

There isn't a strong recommendation for which summon to choose for this fight beyond 🌠preference; although, Guangmou might be a slightly super🌞ior choice because of the Wandering Wight's perceived awkwardness in handling and the benefits of using Poison damage to keep dealing damage during his slippery Phase Two.

Your first phase will be dedicated to whittling his health quickly to end the hardest part of the fight. You'll want to:

1. Be mindful of your Mana; don't overuse your spells.
2. Learn how to avoid most, if not all, of his attacks (his combos will each typically have a new move added in the second phase).
3. Save your Qi Summon until the next phase and remember it can be costly to use.
4. Save your transformation for the next phase as well.

Your transformation will be handy for dealing some damage and p𒐪reventing additional damage against yourself, but keep in mind that burn effects won't work here as your battlefield is a pool of water. The only status effect you c💛an apply is poison via Guangmou's Qi Summon.

Whiteclad Noble is thankfully very straightforward with no gimmicks beyond having a second health bar.

You can whittle him down quickly if you focus on punishing these attacks of his:

• Spinning Pole Thrust
• Feinting Spin
• Water Slices

In general, Whiteclad Noble will always have a small pause at the end of his attack combos. Puni🅺sh these accordingly. Additionally, his long combos mean ample opportunity for dealing bonus damage with Immobilize for imꦑmobilizing during an attack.

Once in the second phase - indicated by a cutscene after clearing the first healt💮h bar, he'll add a few new moves to 🔯his repertoire, but he'll stop doing his long, fancy combos.

The only difficulty the Whiteclad Noble truly provides in this phase is catching up to him. His fluid and fast movement will mean you'll have to chase him around the arena. Jump attacks will be your friend if timed correctly.

As a result of his simplification in trade for mobility, there aren't any particular attacks that stand out as having wide openings other than his Spear Throw. You'll have to make your own opportunities by playing aggressively.

As it begins, keep in mind this game's penchant for sta♈rting fights against quick bosses with aggressive, fast openings.

With his low health, you'll eventually get him with enough practꩵice and application of the tip💝s above.
