I enter the Land of the Morning Light as a stranger in a strange land, both in-game and in real life. I exit my ship and speak to my first quest-giver while we walk together toward the beautiful town nearby. She tells me of the wonders I’ll encounter and my first task in this new land. I’m incredibly excited about what turns out to be... registering myself as a newcomer. Ye🍰s, even in th🗹is incredibly in-depth MMORPG you cannot avoid admin.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Black Desert Online has always intrigued me, but I’ve never had a chance to play. As a total newcomer, I can&rsquoไ;t tell you how this expansion fits into the wider experience, what features it adds, or if it includes some changes that will make your life easier. But what I can tell you is how it felt to visit this Korean-inspired land, journey through the new non-linear questline, and try to understand just how much fire one dainty woman can throw at her enemies.

I started my journey in Dalbeol as a Maegu, simply because she looked awesome. If I know nothing about aꦜny of the class options in front of me, there are two things I’ll commonly look for; a class with spells and a female character who looks like a badass. 𒁏The Maegu fits both criteria, using a Foxspirit Charm as a primary weapon, and hailing from the Land of the Morning Light. Perfect.

With a character boost 𝕴and a noble steed beside me, I picked up my first real quest. This new area contains eight different story threads for you to experience that can be explored in any order. All are separate tales that see you venture around the new lands and there isn’t any overarching story thread across them to worry about. I was tasked with discovering whatꦰ happened to someone who had gone missing.

Even as an utter novice, I was soon lost in this world. As I expected from a game of this type, there are fetch quest elements, battles, and the odd puzzle to solve. The balance between different quest types is well managed, and it didn’t feel like I was just repeat𓆉ing the same thing over and over to get to the end.

Along the way, the story unfolds with the help of some incredibly detailed cut scenes with full voice acting. These helped me follow the storyline and weave the narrative built🐈 by the quests themselves together, and offer an enjoyable extra layer. The quest text and cutscenes flow with detail that breathes life into the land and its inhabitants. The quest chain was long enough for a strong story to build up and be resolved, but not so long that it couldn’t be completed in a sitting.

The main chain itself was around two or three hours of content, although this will vary depending on how many side quests you wander off on and if, like me, you get a bit overexcited about riding the 🥀horse. I’ve also not experienced all eight chains, so others may vary 🔴in length.

Returning to the horse for a minute, I have to take some time out to praise its beauty. I’d never played this game before, but I realised that I had seen screenshots of the horses before. They are incredibly distinctive because when you dismount your horse will display the word ‘Parking’ above its head. Never again will you lose your horse in a shallow stream or a crowd of people. Just look for the massive blinking sign. Then jump right on and experience the most༺ fun I’ve ever had on a mount in an RPG.

This horse bears almost no resemblance to an actual horse, and I adore it. It looks like one but it certainly doesn’t handle like one. I ran sideways, skidded around corners as if I was playing some kind of racing game, and worked out how to jump off as I was stopping and land in random places vaguely in the right area. Actual horse physicals seem only the rough basis of this mount, and it’s all the better for it. However, my favourite part is what I call tܫhe ‘Don’t Get Lost’ button. I can accept a quest and hit a button, and my trusty steed will autom𒐪atically run to the quest objective. While this isn’t as much fun as playing Formula One driver with the horse myself, it’s incredibly handy if, like me, you’re directionally challenged. For those with some degree of compass competence, you can also use a trail of stars to follow as an in-between. Options are great and Black Desert Online has a tonne of them.

Hours into the game, I still have absolutely no idea what&rsqu✃o;s happening, but I’m thoroughly enjoying the experience. There were some boss bat꧃tles I was not equipped to deal with, and a few enemies died mostly due to the character boost rather than any actual skills I possessed, but it didn’t feel like that mattered.

Land of the Morning Light is a journey through a painstakingly detailed land packed with Korean culture, folktale, and legend. If you love this game, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this new land. I was already in love with it just a couple of hourꦫs in and I have no history with the game to keep me here.

I’m looking forward to experiencing more of the game and checking out the new customizable boat and crew, player housing options, Boss Blitz battles, and mini-games. While I’m unable to tell you how these things play out, if they have been created with even half the care you ca🅘n see visible in the world, then they✤ will be a lot of fun to explore.

Land of the Morning Light is an expansion that lives up to its description of brimming with life and has now given me a new dilemma. Where can I find some more hours in 🌱the day🦩 to play Black Desert Online?
